I did read the article. While I can understand that "horrific" phrases might be offensive, changing them would not make them PC.

Political correctness is a term used to describe language, ideas, policies, or behavior seen as seeking to minimize offense to racial, cultural, or other identity groups.

My question was merely, which racial, cultural, or other identity groups were offended by the comments? Like I said... ghosts? Maids and butlers?

I just think the phrase politically correct was misused. "Less Scary" or "Less Morbid" would have been a better choice.

The people who probably took offense are the same people who 1) don't understand plays on word and general humor, and 2) probably took a young child on the ride who easily spooks. These are probably the same people who force that same kiddo to watch slasher movies at Halloween.

I'm a big scaredy-cat, but I love HM and it's one of my favorites. I don't feel offended, threatened, or scared. Leave it alone!

Personally I don't think HM is that scary, I mean seriously, just look at it compared to the universal Halloween nights......does HM really compare to the "horror" show that they put on? HM is the most mild haunted house I have ever scene......and this coming from a guy that lives and breaths Halloween!

But I do agree that the people that are complaining must be devoid of humor. although I'm not sure they make their child watch horror films, that is if they are taking offense to "drag your bodies to the dead center of the room"

Nowadays people get offended at the smallest things. It is pathetic. No way should they change the script. The cast members add to the charm and fun of The Haunted Mansion.

I agree with jenhen ... what exactly about it is not PC? People may find the language too macarbe, but that's another issue. Solve it with a warning sign, for crimney!

It's hard to imagine a long-time Disney fan being offended. It's probably first-time visitors who are easily offended, complain and probably won't return anyway. Why would anyone take it seriously??
Agreed, wholeheartedly.

If these people don't want to be offended, don't go on the attraction! Also if they're offended by this they must not be able go out anywhere or listen to any radio station or watch any TV.
