Your First Disney Ride

Post by Esmeralda » Nov Thu 29, 2007 8:32 pm

What was the first Disney ride you ever rode?

Mine was Spaceship Earth when I was eight years old. It's still one of my absolute favorite rides. I hope the new updates live up to expectations just as it did the very first time!

By the way, thanks to acp for the idea for this topic!

I think it was Dumbo or Small World. I'll have to check with my parents. They always tease me about how when we first got onto Main Street, they asked me "What do you think?" and a four year old me said, "Where are all the rides?"

Gosh, I don't remember my very first ever ride. I was 2!

The one that stands out the most from the trip when I was 9 (my brother's Make a Wish trip, incidentally) was riding Journey Into Imagination. And riding Spaceship Earth.

I don't remeber my very first ride as it was so many years ago. The rides I remeber the most from that first trip are Pirates of the carribean and Peter Pan. Oh yes and Haunted mansion other than that my first trip is a blurry memory.

I was 7 years old and it was Alice in Wonderland at Disneyland (although I campaigned for Matterhorn!).

No way can I remember. My first trip to Disneyland was in utero, and I was taken again around 3 years old. It was probably something like Dumbo or the Railroad, or a streetcar, or the carousel... like, it definitely wasn't Space Mountain (I was too little) or Winnie the Pooh (didn't exist)

Well, I don't know if this counts, but it was a Small World at the 1965 Worlds Fair in New York! I was 10 and I remember it in detail. I also remember COP and I have been in love with Disney since then!

I think my first ride was Pirates, but I can't remember (I was about 2). I'll ask my mother if she recalls...

Thanks for this question Esmeralda you have made me feel old and senile :|

I can't remember.

It was a sugar powered, adrenalin filled, eyes wide as dinner plates day.
I remember doing just about every ride but can't remember the order. Best guess would be Jungle Cruise or the Speedway. I've asked everyone I was with that day, nobody remembers

Wow, this is going back into ancient history! My first trip to WDW was when it was just Magic Kingdom. As I was a thrill-seeking teen, I'm guessing that my first ride was Space Mountain, but I also remember PotC, Jungle Cruise, Small World, 20,000 Leagues, Tom Sawyer's Island and the Speedway. I shopped Main Street and bought a stuffed Eeyore and a silver Mickey charm for my charm bracelet, my first WDW souvenirs. That was a great day.

Hmm. Like spaulo, my first trip was technically before my mother even knew she was pregnant. She wasn't (and isn't) one for rides that whip you around, though, and my brother was pretty small then too so it was probably something gentle. I should ask her if she remembers (but I suspect she'll give me the 'are you kidding me?' look  )

My first trip I was 3 ... don't remember much about that, but again my actual first ride was probably Dumbo or Small World. I do remember a few of my first-time rides, though - first time I went on Big Thunder, and the first time I actually made it through the queue into the Haunted Mansion, but I was a bit older then.

Poor old school scary Snow White. I have a vivid memory of my mom asking me if I "was going to be scared when I saw her?", and pointing at the witch on the sign when I was around that age. That was before they made the ride friendlier. :)
