My sentiments exactly! 8)
Same here... we've never been to Hawaii but have always been interested. This is added incentive.
Ditto for me! I would love to go to Hawaii and with the added comfort of a disney resort it seems like an even better idea.

Well just like Disney Cruise Line is more expensive than other lines, if Disney builds it they will come! :D

Captain Hook: So, you want a splash, Mr Starkey? I'll give you a splash!

I suppose they won't be cheap -- some people are willing to pay more for Disney service and atmosphere. On the other hand, since there will be no theme park, it will be harder for them to distinguish themselves from other luxury resorts, which may be a challenge.

I'm just not sure if there are enough people like me (hard-core Disney fans who are willing to pay extra for the experience) to make this a long-term success, although I hope there are.

If they theme it well (and it looks like they will!), I'd be willing to give this a try. I loved Hilton Head resort in South Carolina, so if they keep with that thought and transfer it to Hawaii, I think it will be spectacular!

It might also be a nice jumping off point on the way to Tokyo Disneyland...
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

My wife knows this will be the way to get me to take her to Hawaii, so she is thrilled......I like the idea of this being a jumping off point for Tokyo Disneyland.......or Disney Seas......

Does anyone know when people can start to make reservations for this resort?! I know 2011 is a ways off....but I just wondered if this would book quickly when it's new?!

So, Disney is going to build a real Polynesian Village. What a beautiful location they have picked. I look forward to making it back out to Hawaii after the resort opens. Very interesting idea this is.
