Haunted mansion by far. It was closed last year when we went. Can't wait to see the refurb.

Pirates. Haunted Mansion scared me when I was a kid ( 1971) and I've just recently started riding it because I want to and not just to be riding with the family. I love the hairy leg in Pirates!

I voted for HM, because AT WDW I like it better than PotC... However, I like DL's PotC more than HM - but I still voted for HM 'cause I get to WDW about 5x more often than I go to DL.

Wow that is a tough question. I really like both a lot since Disney gave them the recent updates. However, my edge goes to pirates because I am a huge fan of the drop that gives you a little spray of water.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
/me runs from flying bricks yet again

Haunted Mansion. By a long shot.
Yes, Pirates is cool, but there's something about the moderately creepy that I find fascinating, for some unexplainable reason. I slightly obsess over stuff like dark rides, creepy eyes in the walls, random floating things that shouldn't be floating, things that move with no explanation, and lightning. As such, both Haunted Mansion and Tower of Terror are VERY high on my list. Heck, if I could make a theme park (you never know, someday could happen) I'd theme it around a 50's town that disappeared during a thunderstorm and comes back as a ghost town every time a storm brews.
Plus the fact that there's dancing in the Haunted Mansion. I like dancing.
/me wonders where all the bricks are coming from

That truly was an "evil" question!!!! You took my two favorites and made me choose! I am now scarred for life! It is like picking a favorite child! In the end I went w/HM, but I still don't know if I will ever decide. As phenominal as the atmosphere is at POTC, HM edges it out. And while POTC is terrific, the effects in HM again edge out those in POTC.

Please do not put me through this pain again.

The omnimover vehicles give the edge to Haunted Mansion in an otherwise dead heat
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

i actually said the haunted mansion. i adore both, who doesn't? but according to my mother, when i was a baby and went to WDW, i was laughing at all the ghosts, and bored by the pirates. now, of course, i'm much older and wiser, but when i go through HM, i'm just reminded of halloween, and old disney shorts and the classic halloween specials, and the magic of all those older disney memories comes back. with pirates, i'm always having a good time, but there's not quite the nostalgia that i have with the mansion.

Haunted Mansion gets my vote. My son won't ride POTC because of the dark tiny water drop that is no worse that a sliding board!
