To be honest, I have a hard time going on Pirates since they made the additions and changed the area music.
They changed the area music? I never paid attention to it!

I thought I posted in here but I guess I only voted. Haunted Mansion. I just love the Haunted Mansion. And although I love Pirates too, I kind of miss the old Pirates. I know I know it sounds crazy but I do. I also miss the old Pirates queue line, lol. Never a wait!

I was trying to think back to when it was changed and I just can't figure out what trip it was. However, I do know that it was at least two years ago. I went on it to see the changes and the que was so long that it wrapped out into the open area in front. I remember vividly the music being different and sounding exactly like the movie soundtrack.
Oh and it was at disney world.

If anyone else has heard it...help!

On more recent trips I haven't paid too much attention to it, so maybe it was only for a limited time.

I voted Pirates, because Haunted Mansion is all about ghosties and ghoulies and I'm not into those, lol.

It's a Pirates life for me. All the great memories from POTC are awesome! When I was a kid the HM scared me to death. They are about tied for me now 8-)

Pirates. Back before we went to DL, there wasn't even a contest, since I find HM at WDW to be pretty ordinary - never got the fuss - then I went to HM at DL a few summers ago and now I understand.

But Pirates was my favorite ride when I was 4, so Pirates still wins.

HM all the way!!!! I hated Pirates as a kid...but I have snce seen the light. I still like the original pirates better than the new one.

...what's funny, I'm not a ghosts and goblins kind of person. I don't have a clue as to why I am so facinated with the mansion.

The Haunted Mansion hands down. I have the whole narration memorized, and I built a paper model of the DLR version. ((To be fair, I know the whole Pirates ride by heart, but they're just not the same.))

Haunted Mansion. I love both of them, but I got stuck on the Pirates once, with "Tell No Tales, Crash, BAng!" (Lightning) for 25 minutes. That made me not want to ride pirates again that trip! I've never been stuck in the haunted mansion.

I had to vote HM, it really is almost a toss up for me though I love them both. I do like the changes at PoC adding Cap'n Jack, but I really liked the origianl narration and wink, wink nudge nudge humor.
