Big Thunder Vs Big Thunder?
I found a big difference in the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ride between Disneyland and WDW. In coaster enthusiast terms, WDW's would be a "family coaster" I think, meaning that it's a little more tame compared to Disneyland's tight turns.
What do you think? And for the poll, which do you prefer?

DLR by far - smoother ride, better queue, overall a superior version to WDW. Plus the mining town at the end and the way they tie that back to the queue. Plus a bit more of a wild ride while still being tame enough for most anyone to ride. Yep, a pretty easy choice if you ask me!

Hmmm! I prefer the ride at WDW but the queue at Disneyland is far superior! The ride at Disneyland is way too fast for chicken me. Although, during one trip to WDW the kids and tricked the 'ex' into riding Big Thunder. Oh, what a great time the 3 of us had laughing at the 'ex.' He screamed all the way thru the ride. We were so happy that we tricked him into riding it!!

I gotta say that I prefer Disneyland's actual ride. But I enjoy the visual elements of WDW's version a little bit more.
The queue in WDW makes me want to scream!! It's so deceptive too. You turn a corner, expecting to finally 'be there', only to discover there's another room with more queue! Then you go downstairs.
I love when you're on the ride, and the fireworks are going off!

we spent some 2 hours in the queue back before fastpass. I liked it during the EMH back in December. almost walk-on all night.

Same here. Isn't DL's shorter?js3901 wrote:having never been to DLR to compare, I'd have to vote for WDW version. I'll get out there eventually...

DLR's has 3 lifts, I think it's longer. But DLR doesn't have that cool back area with the dude spinning in the bathtub at WDW.

Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle until the ride comes to a full and complete stop. Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your day here at Walt Disney World.

Oh yeah, at night it's so much more fun! If you have some time, try and time it so that you'll be on the ride during the fireworks show. It's awesome.jrcohen wrote:I don't think i've ever done that, i'm definatly going to have to try that.ldzny wrote:Whatever you do, ride them at night!
