About 5 minutes later Goofy was standing behind my daughter (she could not see him) and he was staring toward the floor. Next, Goofy looked at me and pointed to my daughter, then he put his fingers up to his ear in the shape of a cell phone and then he pointed back at my daughter. (she was texting on her cell phone under the table). My daughter turned around saw what Goofy was doing and loudly exclaimed, "Are you serious? I've been ratted out by Goofy?"

Everyone burst into laughter as Goofy continued to point and mimick my daughter on the phone under the table. Needless to say after this, the phone went back in the purse and stayed there at each character meal we attended -- Thanks Goofy!!
That's awesome! Those characters sure can be helpful sometimes. Our trip this July will be our first with a child - we're very excited.

I think it would be sweet if disney put up a block to cut cell service in the park. pretty soon the smoking area's will be replaced with Cell phone areas.

back on subject. we always seem to end our visit at the Magic Kingdom. so the most lasting memories are always of leaving the magic kingdom, its sad yet fullfilling at the same time, with a thought of...i'll see you again soon.

I would be against that for the fact that my brother and I and others use them to keep track of each other. I have to admit that many conversations are annoying and I would love to block them but then that would hurt the folks that use them to arrange lunch/Dinner dates. I usually keep my conversations to less than 1 minute, seriously I do you should see my bill.

I don't know if this is my favorite memory, but it is the most recent favorite. I had heard about the Mint Julep and was dying to try it. I had been attempting to convince my parents to let me try it, but they told me it tasted disgusting. Well, I kept asking to at least try and see for myself. I kept mentioning it the entire day and finally got my wish! It took a while to find the shop, (it is hidden near the New Orleans Train Station) and when we did, we all sat down at a table as Fantasmic was going on and drank Mint Julep (for me) and coffee (for the rest of my family). I really liked the drink (or at least, I psyched myself up to like it, because I knew if I didn't, my parents would tell me "I told you so") But what was great about it was that I got to the bottom and thought I was finished, but then my mom said, "I think there is a cherry at the bottom." :D Besides mint, cherries are my favorite food. "Oh wait," my mom continues. "I think there are two cherries."  :D :D To say the least, I was very happy.

My mom and I took my daughter for her spring break on 2006. We were in Animal Kingdom waiting in line to see the characters right outside of Dinoland. It was Pooh, piglet, eyore & Tigger. My daughter was wearing her Tigger backpack that she had gotten the night before at Downtown Disney and we were waiting in line when Tigger noticed her backpack and came across to her, scaring her at first and tried to grab it off her back because he wanted it. Then when we got to him for pictures, since my daughter was wearing Tigger on her back, Tigger leaned on my moms back the same way as the backpack and we got a picture of it. Really cute, my mom and daughter both still talk about that and what a great moment that was.

There as so many great memories i have from the Land but my favorites all include my family.
Little things like sitting on the bench by grizzley rapids with my head in my moms lap as she talked on her phone and being just happy, watching the 50th fireworks wth my Family for the first time and the "room stretched", or of course yodeling with my dad as we rushed down the peaks of the matterhorn. I love it all!
Yes, this is my happy place! Well, when not in my happy place.

It's official, The family is visiting Disneyland in October!

In 2000, my wife and I were eating at the Crystal Palace. Eyone wrote my wife a note asking if she was who she was. It turned out to be one of her good friends she had lost contact with. We ended up meeting with him and his wife for a day at the park later in the week.

It was special because he passed away a few years later. The day we met him and the day we spent with them in the parks was the greatest memories we have.

My favorite Disney memory happened about 10 years ago. It was our daughters first trip to Disney. We had primed her with movies and cassettes of music so she would be very familiar. On our last night there we were leaving the MK and taking the monorail out. We managed to get the drivers car and were pulling away when the fireworks began. Out of nowhere a little 2 year old voice starts singing "When You Wish Upon a Star" as the fireworks are going over head. Couldnt have staged such a beautiful thing....

I think the my favorite Disney moment happened last year when we took our children to DL. My daughter & mother-in-law had just gotten off Dumbo, when Princess Aurora walked up to my daughter and asked her if she wanted to ride Dumbo with her. Of course, my daughter who had just turned 3yrs old, was thrilled. She was grinning from ear to ear during the whole ride. It was such a Disney moment. One I don't think any of us will forget. She still talks about it to this day. :mickey:

My favorite has to be riding Big Thunder Mountain Railroad with my twin sister this past March. It was her first time (as well as mine, but I had been there since January) to WDW, and she was just as crazy as I was. She loved it! After that, we watched Wishes from the railing across from Tom Sawyer Island, which was awesome. She had a great time, and I'm so glad that we got to experience WDW together!

May favorite memory is probably a bit strange but it's funny to me. My first Disney World trip we stayed @ Ft. Wilderness in a cab over camper (quite the rage in the early seventies). It was very small. Dad had installed a full-legnth mirror on the inside of the bathroom door, but the bathroom was so small that an adult couldn't close the door when using it because it would hit their knees. Everyone in the camper could see what the person in the bathroom was doing by looking in the mirror. One day, my brother (which is why this is my favorite as he passed away at 19) left the camper door open when my mom was in the bathroom. I was outside and noticed that a few people were staring at our camper and laughing. It was then that we found out that people walking by could see mom in the bathroom!

Hmm I have so many that are contenders. Best overall day was getting engaged in the Magic Kingdom (head down Main Street, hang a right before the popcorn seller, first bench on your left is 'ours' :) ).

One of the funniest/best that stands out was the first time I was tall enough to ride Big Thunder Mountain. I'd never been on a roller coaster before at all, and I was nervous, so my mom just told me to scream when I was scared and it'd help. I think I started screaming as soon as the train started moving and didn't stop until the ride was over. The (poor) people sitting in front of us were sort of late-teens guys. One of them turned around and, grinning, said to my mom, "She has good lungs." I apologize, guys, wherever you are.

My wife and I were in the Main Street Cinema shop looking at photo frames.
She was having difficulty choosing and was just talking on and on. I noticed Pluto walking up and when he reached me we just swapped places. My wife continued to chat on without noticing. I stood back and videoed the next couple of minutes. Her talking away oblivious and Pluto nodding and acting bored in my place. There was a fair old crowd watching her antics before she realised it wasn’t me that was standing beside her. Soon as she saw it was Pluto she just shut up and went red. Pluto bent down grabbed a frame stuck it in her hand and pointed to the registers. Silently she took the frame and went to pay. I had to give him a hug. Brilliant.
