It's incredibly frustrating. I think that response is a result of Disney's successful campaign of lowering expectations.

Disney's antidote to cynicism used to be shocking people with extreme coolness and quality. If you're the sort of grump who thought "Eh, I've seen it all.", Disney would knock that right out of you by blowing you away with something amazing.

Now that they're not even trying to do that, the cynics have been validated.

I think everyone who thinks the new Tomorrowland and Future World are just fine should be forced to go ride Spider-Man...then come back and apologize to us!

Think the core of the problem is Disney's success.

Think Mark Twain said ot best in the American Adventure when he quoted John Steinbeck -
"We nowface the danger, which in the past has been the most
destructive to the humans: Success, plenty, comfort and
ever-increasing leisure. No dynamic people has ever
survived these dangers."
Disney draws almost twice as many people to just the MK as Universal does to both Universal Studios and IOA.

I think they have the general attitude, at least with WDW, whatever they build people will come. And since WDW is mostly a transient audience, people don't notice the declining by degrees.
