My biggest pet peeve is when people show a blatant disregard for rules that are put in place to keep THEM safe. Case in point: I once rode PotC where a couple of girls in the row in front of me insisted on standing up for every drop, despite being warned multiple times by the CM over the loudspeaker to sit down. For a while there I thought they (the CM's) were going to stop the ride and escort the girls off. No such luck, but they did get a good chewing out afterwards.

I was sitting there thinking, "kids, please sit down. I don't want YOUR decapitated head sitting on my lap and ruining my vacation!" Honestly...the nerve of people these days. :x

On our last trip to WDW, we had a problem with people standing up on CoP. The ride got stuck on us several times, we repeated several scenes and were once stuck in between scenes, the CM kept "screaming" into the mic. for everyone to remain seated. We were all seated in our section, I'm assuming someone in one of other theatres was standing up, I didn't like being yelled at. I can say, that was the one time we were happy to exit CoP. I didn't like being yelled at, I don't know why people have to be rude?! Just sit down!

It's not only rude, it can be so dangerous. If you stand up on BMTR...sorry, but you're history. Pirates has a VERY low clearance...if those girls had been a bit taller, they could have been seriously hurt.

Some people don't realize that rules aren't put in place just to protect the company from lawsuits; they're to keep you SAFE!

I experienced that before and it was these idiot guys a few rows ahead of us that were standing before the second drop. They had to stop the ride twice and make sure they would sit down before letting us go. It was so ridiculous for them to do not once but twice.

Also, when someone stops in the middle of Autopia for no apparent reason and does not go. On New Years Day, it was very foggy and I went during the time of the fireworks since I didn't think they'd go on. It was too hard to even see them. On one of the ramps after you go through the rugged terrain closest to the Matterhorn, some idiot (I know I shouldn't call them that but seriously, they were one that day) stopped on the track and I was at least nine cars behind said person. My guess was that they stopped to watch the fireworks go off but you could barely see them. My whole family and I tried screaming for them to go but nothing worked until the fireworks were over. I swear, I was about ready to get out of the car and go talk to the person. The CMs weren't allowed to go over there because it was a hazardous area for them.

Sigh, people. Sometimes they just want to ruin the fun for everyone.

Now that is just the ultimate rudeness one could ever do on a ride. Stop the whole thing so you can watch the fireworks? Ridiculous! One would have thought that even if CM's couldn't enter the area, they'd have cameras or something so they could see any trouble and fix it via loudspeaker.

[quote This is funny! I feel the need to apologies for this lady. My DW was running around like a 10 year old the first time we stayed at the AK. I even got very excited when I saw all the animals walking around. Sounds like the lady you ran into needs a reality check, which if you think of it, is pretty funny since your at WDW,[/quote]Forgive my ignorance, but what does DW stand for? I can figure out most of the other abbreviations but I cannot get this one. I will probably feel stupid when I find the answer.

Thanks.

Don't feel bad, I didn't know either but was just too afraid to ask.

OOOOOH, thanks Jacca, I just assumed they meant "Disney" Wife, Husband, etc.

I guess this is what I get for not visiting other boards.

It can! Some people believe that it stands for "Disney" and others believe that it stands for "dear." All a matter of perspective.

It depends are what board you're on when you using it. I would say it means dear on my sports board and Disney on this one.

I have to agree that the flash photography during rides is absolutely annoying. I had people doing it during Haunted Mansion and it would affect how my eyes adjusted to the light and it would cause me to see spots...UGH

Wow another thing that bothered me this last trip was when I was in line to meet a character (yes I was on a solo trip and I was an adult) and a couple of times I would hear people make comments behind me like I hope they hurry or why is she doing this without children. I'm sorry but the characters are not just for a small child I can enjoy them too....oh well I just ignored them and took my time. The only time it was a big issue is when the parent sent his child ahead of me thinking I wasn't going to go.

Oh man I had a lot of pet peeves from this trip. The worse was at Impressions de France. Some people stopped in the middle so we had to go around them because we figured they would be moved over (they actually never were)
And then after that the people behind us were talking the whole time.

I really couldn't enjoy the film which sucks cause I love the music and such.
