When staying in a deluxe resort, some expect children to be invisible. When staying in AKL a woman asked me if my children were always this excitable. I then told the lady it's not everyday you have giraffes and zebras wandering around the garden and this isn't a hotel anywhere in the world it's in a very special place...

Walt Disney World. She then walked off in disgust and told me all Brits were alike and had no control over their children. A very sad lady indeed. My children weren't being noisy or rude they had just checked in and were totally amazed at the animals wandering on the savanas.

I wish people who have no children or are empty nesters should remember they themselves were small once.
That is a shame. I don't know what is more annoying, that she would have to gall to say something like that or that she would pigeonhole you and say "all Brits are the same...." I could understand if they were running amok and being a general nuisance, but excitable chatter about giraffes and whatnot outside your hotel is very understandable. Our (and by "our" I mean American's) xenophobia really boils my blood, more so than Cazza and Livvie's Mum's previous pet peeve.
This is funny! I feel the need to apologies for this lady. My DW was running around like a 10 year old the first time we stayed at the AK. I even got very excited when I saw all the animals walking around. Sounds like the lady you ran into needs a reality check, which if you think of it, is pretty funny since your at WDW,

This seems a little extreme. I usually stay off property, and I can understand at some of the deluxes you expect a little decorum, but AKL is not one of them. I saw parents at Grand Floridian let their kids climb on and under the grand piano like it was a playset and that is absurd, but kids getting excited over animals is kinda the point of AKL...

That is so rude!!! I have no children yet but like Cazza and Livvie's Mum said, we were all small once! I don't appreciate when parent's let their children run out of control and misbehave, but when a child is excited and just being a child...isn't that what Disney is all about?! It shouldn't matter if you're staying at a deluxe or not.

i hate it when you wait in line for 45 minutes and it turns out that the person in front of you was holding a spot for someone and that person runs through the line and their the last ones in and you gotta wait >=-(

Agreed, with only two exceptions. One, if the person just needed to go to the bathroom and two, if they are getting food or drink for the other person or themselves. Now that last one isn't a free pass to bring back something like a cheeseburger and fries, but to bring back something from the vender carts.

I've seen the second part happen while I was in line for Toy Story Mania but I didn't say anything because I didn't want to let it bother me. Thankfully the line was moving so I wasn't too bothered.

I have seen this happen everytime I ride Soarin'. It is so annoying when you have been waiting patiently and all of a sudden four people just blow past you and are like, "my parties up ahead." I just want to scream at those people to wait in line like everyone else.

I know right! ahh i just wanna scream to but i dont wanna be kicked out of disney lol. but seriously, the only reason to leave and come back is if you absolutely have to use the bathroom. But try to use the bathroom BEFORE getting in line exceptionally if the wait time is longer than 15 minutes!

=) almost to my 200th post!

AGREED, if you have to use the bathroom, understood! But, if you're going to get food for everyone, that drives me insane. I too have had the happen on Soarin. Wait to eat until after the ride and wait your turn like everyone else!!!

I don't mind one person (or maybe one person and a little kid) catching up with their group, but if you're going to try to wave four or five people past me, I'm gonna tell you what I think of that. :?

Amen!

And not sure if it was mentioned, but the biggest one for my wife and I has to be when people stop half way in the theaters. :x

Ah, Sam. I think they should use his quote all around the park to see if they will actually listen.

Why would they? They don't even listen at Muppets 4D - and it's a 3d show meaning the same from everyseat :?

I have to admit (and maybe this was brought up before and I missed it on a previous page) but if there are not alot of people at the attraction, I don't mind stopping a little past the center or at the center because there is no reason to go all the way over, but I do hate it when it it is a big group, and people purposefully leave a seat after between thier group and the one before for more elbow room- it really adds up.
