I would agree on this one...it is a cute little show while you are eating :D
Every trip I always say "I want to eat at Cosmic Ray's" and it never happens! I'm bound and determined to eat there in Dec!!!

Yes, you need to.. The fare is pretty normal, burgers and fries and chicken and such. Not the worse nor the best in the World, but the show is more than worth it. It is the same with the Sci Fi cafe, though I would say the food is probably a little bit better at Cosmic Rays. At least it seems so to me.

Comic Rays has become a tradition with our family. It started years ago when my sisters' family had 6 and we had 3 in my family and there were too just many different ideas for lunch. We found that going to Comic Rays had just about everything we wanted. Today it's just 4 adults and we still love to make starlight cafe our stop for lunch. My niece joined us for for few days in Jan. and she reminded us we had to stop there for lunch, just like we had done when all the cousins were there!!!

The last time at The World, they were giving away 20% off coupons if you ate early (before 11:30) or later (after 2:30). So--heck yeah!!--we ate early.
Well, there was NO ONE in there. So when "Ray" asks his questions (Hey are there any honeymooners here? PAUSE Alright--this goes out to you.) Of course no one answered--there was no one in there! My kids cracked up everytime he asked a question.
My son loves to tell that story...

We def. need to hit up Cosmic Ray's on our next trip!!! I'm confused though...what type of show goes on? It's not live is it?! It's been years since I've been in there, we always just pass by.

Side note:DH and I LOVE Sci-Fi, it is a must do for us on every trip!!! We think the burgers and shakes are out of this world! 8-) We've never tried anything else on the menu.

Cosmic Ray's is actually pretty cool. There is a life-size animatronic alien (think: "Alf") who sits at an electronic keyboard and plays/sings/cracks jokes. It's actually pretty entertaining, and whoever the voice talent is on the recording is actually a very good singer. That would be a good trivia search: try to find out who provides the voice talent.
The food is fairly typical for a quick-service. I like it....

Aladdin the musical at DCA. My mom keeps telling me that I have to see it and she said it's hilarious. I do know they change jokes every showing so you know it's good.

Challenge accepted and complete...Kal David provides Sonny Eclipse's voice for the show...here is a link to an interview he did for a webcast, I don't know that the link is still active, when I clicked on it I was shown to inside the magic.net so I'm guessing you would have to do a history search since the show was back in 2007...but if you are interested, here it is :D

It is a nice show. Probably as close as I'll get to seeing a Broadway show so I try to take it in at least once when we go.

I haven't! I hope that the next time I visit DCA, it will be the first thing I go for.

Ah, Inside the Magic.. I *LOVE* that podcast. I have been listening to it for a long time. Ricky really is a wealth of knowledge, and I love to hear what he and Skipper Ben have to say every week.

Better do it soon. I heard there are plans to replace it, which makes me sad because I know we won't get back there before they do.

I went to SciFi a few years back with two of my cousins. One of my cousins is a severe diabetic. The first item he ordered (I can't remember what is was) they were out of stock and wanted him to re-order. The problem was the other items on the list had problems with his special dietary requirements. The head chef came out and talked with him. The chef went back, went on the internet and found a recipe for barbeque sauce from a websites for diabetics. He made the baby-back ribs using that recipe. The chef was real friendly, went miles out of his way, and we were all surprised how good the "new" sauce was. That made the SciFi high on our list ever since.
