Favorite Overlooked Attraction

Post by dinosaur33 » Apr Sun 01, 2007 12:32 pm

What is your favorite attraction that most people skip? Mine would have to be Carousel of Progress or Tomorrowland Transit Authority, both great attractions that I'm glad they never have lines...

Snow White and Pinnochio seem to always be empty. I think those are very well done attractions. But a little scary for the little ones.

Also, Jungle Cruise seems to be a little under appreciated, especially with the new effects they added a couple years back.

Hmm. TTA perhaps. I never see a line for that attraction. It's a nice, relaxing ride that you can just chill on.

Does California Adventure count?

One Man's Dream at the Disney Studios. Never a big crowd and a must for anyone who remotely considers themself to be a fan of Walt Disney.

I agree with Lion, there is never a line for the TTA, and it nice to ride it at night and see the park all lit up.

Hmmm...per park:

DL: Pinnochio's Daring Journey or Storybookland Canal Boats

DCA: (the whole park) just kidding... the entire Disney Animation building... there are cool shows, fun walk-through exhibits... this place isn't nearly as overlooked since Turtle Talk with Crush moved in, but too few people take the time to check out the Sorceror's Workshop area (at least, there are very few people in there whenever I am)

MK: TTA, easy. Carousel of Progress is a close second, and Hall of Presidents a close third, but the TTA is the best overlooked attraction at any Disney park, anywhere.

Epcot: Maelstrom (relatively overlooked, I suppose...)

MGM: Does the video screen at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater count? :)

AK: Flights of Wonder bird show. Sooooo awesome.

they still play music in there. at least, they did in December when we were down there. I heard a song from the LotR trilogy

I would have to say TTA and CoP.

Does the sound room count @ Disney MGM?

It's the one where you are waiting to meet your new boss and Donald comes in and cuts your hair. I think they call it 3D sound. :donald:

I thought that was to one with Drew Carey not Donald. You know the one where Drew Carey is the security guard and he goes under cover to spy on a suspect, his camera goes out and you just hear everything going on.

In the post-show room of "Sounds Dangerous" there are sound rooms similar to the Song of the Rainforest at AK. And I have to agree with this one. It's definitley an awesome overlooked attraction in itself and I think it's even better than the main show.

I love the TTA, it's so relaxing. I like visiting Tomorrowland at night anyway, so when you finally can sit down for a long while with no screaming kids and bubbly little music and a whole lot of darkness, it's perfect.
Humans strive for perfection and time just strives for tomorrow, and neither really gets there.
