^Speaking of strollers...... I want them banned! I always get hit by them...and I look back at them, and they act like I'm an idiot, even though they were the ones who run into me.

There should be an age limit on strollers. Only infants and younger . Too many kids are being chaffered and all it does is clog up the paths and cause foot/heel injuries. Get out and WALK!

I think all strollers should be banned! A age limit at least is required as last time i was in disney i saw loads of kids in them who must have been at least 7 or 8. I went to disney for the first time shortly after my third birthday and i was made too walk. Didn't do me any harm. Having strollers is probably one of the reasons why so many kids are now obease!!!

If they banned strollers then either the kids would woalk. or if they really were too little to walk or day then they must be really young kids in which case they are small enough to be carried!

I don't agree to banning strollers, but you are right. It does get annoying, seeing the parents and children getting lazy and not forcing them to walk. When I was litle I was either caried on my dad's shoulders or i was walking. No big huff.

I say ban the jumbo strollers, and let the smaller ones stay. The jumbo ones really get my goat. I hate how big they are and the fact that people think that because they have a stroller YOU have to get out of THEIR way, HA. They need to yield to pedestrians like cars, I my Opinion.

Yeah, jumbo strollers are kind of like the Hummers of Main Street, USA.

I think it would be interesting to know whether or not you have kids, and your feeling on strollers...

Me: no kids, but getting married in less than 2 months and plan on having kids within a few years.

My view of strollers: Mainly, people need to have more common sense. I would be behind a ban on anything that is more than one seat wide... the tandem two-kid strollers don't seem to be nearly the problem that the SUV side-by-sides are.

An age limit? I suppose it could work, but there would have to be a whole slew of "individual circumstance" exceptions. I mean, just because their kid is a punk, does that mean the family can't go to Disney?

That all being said, I reserve the right to kick you in the Achilles tendon if you knock your stroller into me.

That's happened to me as well. I've been hit on the ankle and the knee by various parts of strollers, and I don't think I've ever gotten apology from the person pushing it. But they probably didn't notice, and I'm not about to say, "hey, you hit me!"

People need strollers for their kids, I understand, but when I see the kid pushing it around, or see their limbs being almost being dragged around while sitting in it, I can't help but wonder.

But yeah, the huge 2 person+ standing platform ones need to go.

Spaulo, Darn tootin'. I'm not big on kids in the first place but if I did have 1 or 2 I would exorcise more caution whilst driving one. And I certainly wouldn't get a hugamongus stroller, I would get one that is smaller and more compact, basically no frills. I won't need a stroller with a built in ejector seat, European carry all, off road capabilities, etc. I would just need one with 4 wheels and fabric.

and if you have two kids, they have strollers that look basically like that, with another seat in front of it. I find those easier to dodge than side-by-side duallies.

Dad of three here who took babies to Disney and used strollers. I think the strollers are abused by kids who don't need them. But, common courtesy is a two way street folks - there are just as many rude and inconsiderate non-stroller guests who think they have a right to cut you off in a crowd and then suddenly stop - hence a crash. I can say that anytime we ever hit someone with our stroller that 99% of the time it was their fault. We never rented strollers just because that seemed gross to us using strollers that some other kid used (even though they're sterilized) and we never used "double wides", but more like the one Dr. Ravenscroft posted a photo of - but without the ejector seat.

That's true too. I haven't pushed a stroller around, but I have pushed a wheel chair around. It's heavy, and not the easiest to maneuver in a crowd.

I have a kid. I took him to WDW when he was 7 months old (now 10 months old)...

He loved it.

We had to have a stroller. Stroller's are a necessity. You will understand this when you have a child.

I agree though after the child gets to be 4 or 5 a stroller is not needed and not welcome in the parks as your just causing congestion.

Also to Dr's point.. We have a smaller stroller but not that small. You really have to go with what your child will be comfortable in.. And trust me most NORMAL people don't want massive strollers.. Too freaking heavy to get on the bus/monorail etc.

I have to agree on both sides here. I have been the victim of ankle bashing by some stroller-pushers who seem to have no concern with trying to run you over. I'm also a mom who has been pushing the stroller, and having first visited without kids I go out of my way to be sure I'm not the one running down innocent pedestrians!

We've only used strollers when our kids were 3 or younger. I talked to someone recently who rented a stroller for her 7 year old because he got tired of walking around. Sorry, but that wouldn't cut it in my family!
