Favorite Line in a Disney Ride

Post by broncoflyer8912 » Feb Mon 26, 2007 9:58 am

Now I don't mean the queue you stand in before the ride, but a line said during the course of the ride. (ex. "Dead men tell no tales!" from POTC).

My favorite line comes from DLR's Haunted Mansion: "Every room has wall to wall creeps, and hot and cold running chills!" The hot and cold running chills part gets me every time, it's just so cool how the Ghost Host says it.

Ok...go!

Like, half of what's said in Pirates or in Haunted Mansion would qualify... there is no way I could pick just one line from all the great Disney attractions... a few personal faves are...

"Psst! Avast there! It be too late to alter course, mateys... and there be plunderin' pirates lurking around every cove... waitin' to board. Stick closer together! And keep yer ruddy hands inboard. THAT be the best way to repel boarders. And mark well me words mates... dead men tell no tales. Heh heh hehhh." -- Pirates

"Ohhhhh I didn't mean to frighten you prematurely... the real chills come later. Now, as they say, 'look alive,' and we'll continue our little tour. And let's all stay together, please..." -- Haunted Mansion

"I do declare, Brer Bear, that my laughing place has gone and gave you HIVES! Ahhh hahahaha!!" -- Splash Mountain

"Star Tours, what are you doing here? This area is a Combat Zone, it's restricted. Ease off on your main thrusters." -- Star Tours, while "caught in a tractor beam"

"GUILTY! That is all!" -- Mr. Toad

"Misterrr SMMEEEEEEEEEEE!!!" -- Peter Pan

"Now then, hang on to them hats 'n' glasses, cuz this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness!" -- Big Thunder Mountain

My favorite has always been, "We wants da red 'ead!"

But everything said my the Ghost Host has earned a place in my heart.

I definitely agree on that one. I'm not sure if this counts but another favorite of mine is when the one guy skiing in Soarin' falls down and yells "I'm OK!"
Meep meep meep.

"And please do not sit on the floor. My studies show you can't experience time travel on the floor. and it's not a pretty picture in those shorts" - The Timekeeper

Ooh, uh, give me a moment...

The skull's lines in POTC before you go down the first drop.

The "hold onto yer hats 'n glasses" line for Thunder Mountain

The entire Foyer narration and the "Happy Holidays everyone!" line in the Haunted Mansion Holiday

"You have looked into the eyes of Mara..." - Indiana Jones

"Ready when you are, CB" - Great Movie Ride, also the Alien scene

"You are not the first to pass this way....nor shall you be the last" - Maelstrom

And the last lines said in the library before you enter the boiler room for ToT
"A pirate in irons be full o' guile.
And the blackest 'art wears the broadest smile."

Oh, and "Welcome Home."

I always like the sign at the end of Splash Moutain before you get off the log, "its the truth its actual" with Brer Rabit.

and you'll have Success with X-S Alien encounters.

I really miss "Hang on to them hats and glasses, cuz this here is the wildest ride in the wilderness" from BTM at DLR

You also gotta love "Remain seated please; Permanecer sentados por favor" from the Matterhorn

Similarly, I've always loved "mantengase alejado de las puertas, por favor" on WDW's monorail...

As much as I detest Spanish being used in the Parks, those phrase are the only ones I can tolerate because to me they almost have a funny sound to them

You detest tourists being able to understand what's going on around them?

Actually I really could care less, you're in America speak English, as much as I would expect Germans to want me to speak German if I am in Germany. Even though English is starting to become a universal language.
