That's not strange. I found a DL napkin in my jacket at the beginning of this past winter and it made me happy!Halvogirl wrote:one strange thing we like to take home as souvenirs is a nice stack of napkins. it always cheers me up to reach for a napkin at home and it is free.

A friend of mine thinks the best is food. She reason is, nothing to sell in a garage sale at a later date. I think just about anything to do with Mickey Mouse. And, before "Journey" was changed..ANYTHING with Figment.
When we went to Disneyland in 1996 & 1997 we went crazy buying Disney stuff! We sent home huge boxes of goodies!! We bought so much so couldn't take it on the plane or train. If it said DISNEY or Mickey Mouse on it, we bought it. At Imagineering we really went crazy buying 'stuff.'

The Key to the World or Admission ticket is good for a scrapbook.
The vacation planning DVD's actually may great keepsakes. They're free and the document what was new during your trip.
I also by the picture book for WDW each time I go. I have one from 1983, 1993, 1998 or 2001 (I can't remmber) and will get one this year in 2007. Its a great way to reference what has come and gone in the parks.

You know, I still have an old-style Figment t-shirt just because I love Figment and you can't find the original (not retarded look) look for him anymore. He's sorta bouncing across the shirt and it says "Let your imagination run wild! Just as long as you can keep up!"T-shirts, only ones that actually say "Walt Disney World"
Someone else said memories and they are so right-on with that too.

Totally agree with you. A t-shirt is really the only souvenir I need. I bring one(or several) home on each trip. I'm also a sucker for attraction shirts if something catches my eye.netslave wrote:T-shirts, only ones that actually say "Walt Disney World" on them in some form or fashion.
Other than t-shirts, I have several park maps, Extra Magic Hour bracelets and room keys lying around here. They always make a great keepsake.

I always buy the postcard packs! Not only do they make nice scrapbook filler, but I can take them to work and switch them out from the frame on my desk! I also take a napkin or two, sugar packet ( if imprinted) and the icon sandwich picks. Plus park maps and park tickets/hotel room keys, and the receipts are also imprinted and make a fun scrapbook addition.

I collect all kinds of things, my favorite are the classic character figures. Plastic or other. I also collect the Disneyland Books about the park. Of course whenever I am there I also pickup a map, a fast pass from a different ride, and my park ticket. Oh, no I am sounding obsessed!

How long do they take to get? We leave for our trip on 7/18, so in 21 days. I'm worried I wouldn't get the maps in time.Croaker wrote:I received my free maps from Disney Today! they are so cool. i'd advise everyone to get online and make one for your upcoming trip. they only allow one household per 6 months...they are so sweet....and FREE!!!!

you won't. they take something like 4 - 6 weeks to get. I ordered mine about 3 weeks out from the trip we took this past December, and didn't get them by the time I left. they got to me about a week after I got back...JWG wrote:How long do they take to get? Oh well, I really wanted them for what rides we could go to with our DD of just under a year - and I found the "Little Ones" planning pages at disney.com that have maps. They're not inclusive of all attractions that you can do, they seem to exclude some that you can do but may not interest a child but its a start.js3901 wrote:you won't. they take something like 4 - 6 weeks to get.
