They probably would too. But that is a good idea you had.....I should suggest that to some of the folks I know that are going to the parks on a budget.

Yes, but only from my most recent trips. I put them in my scrapbooks.

We don't collect them on purpose, but we have quite a collection of maps. Its fun to look back and see what was and what wasn't in the parks at one time or another!

We didn't originally collect them on purpose, but, like luv2themouse mentioned, they've turned out to be neat additions to the scrapbooks.

I have a bad habit with collecting the maps. The first thing my brother and I do while our parents check-in is head over the the maps. We get two of everything and bring it to the room. These will not be seen until we unpack when we back at home. I also take a map when I am in the park and will bring it back with me to the hotel. This will usually get tossed in the trash when we pack up at the end of the vacation.

The scary thing is the maps used to be good only for a week or two. Then they would have a new map out. Now the map is good for the year and they have a paper insert that you have to get. I guess this is a money saver, but it makes it harder to date the map to that specific vacation.

Who doesn't? I like to compare the old ones with the newer ones. It's interesting to note the changes in the parks.

We have a suitcase full of maps and schedules from various trips. I haven't seen a WDW transportation map in the last few years. Last spring I created a large (5x3 foot) photo map from Google Earth of Epcot - Crescent Lake (Boardwalk) - Disney Hollywood Studios (or whatever the new name is) then cut and paste the park map info onto it. That was a lot of work but it was great looking at it as we were waiting for our summer trip. I'd buy them if Disney sold a photo/park map composite map.

Well, lets have it!!!! :) I suspect there is interest in this if you are willing.

Hi again. Actually I do collect maps, (or rather I did, haven't back in a couple of
years, long story), anyway, they'ree some of my favorite souveniers from ALL
the parks.

What I love most about them is/was just the attention to detail-just like everything
else about the parks-that you could make where everything was supposed to be.

I am just speaking about the original poster-sized maps from years passed, some
of the newer ones leave alot to be desired. There was also the added bonus of sometimes being able to see future rides/attractions already put into the maps
before they even officialy opened.

Also, speaking as a west coaster, I also love the maps from the 'other' parks as
well. Maybe not as much detail, but certainly a great pictoral remnant when I get
back home.

Well, later, peace.

When we first got the disney bug our family kept everything from our trips but we have been so many times since then it is hard to keep everything. we have been fortunate enough to be able to go so many times and look forward to every trip but no longer collect all the momentos.

Speaking of maps, does Disney still sell the large maps of the parks? I believe they were around 3 feet square. I also remember them being like 50 cents or something back when I was a youngling.

Subsonic, I saw one of those big maps you were talking about but I cannot remember where I saw it. It could have easily been at Downtown Disney as any of the numerous shops at the Magic Kingdom. Of course, you are probably referring to Disneyland, but it is probably the same deal.

I have a cherished 1978 or 1979 Disneyland map back when they were booklets with the ride coupon information for each attraction. Plus it has an ad for Disney's first PG movie, "The Black Hole," on the back cover.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.
