Holy Moley! I love collecting maps. I remember as a kid hording those things like they were the last piece of candy on earth. Plus, it's fun to see when certain areas/attractions were still under development (i.e. Mickey's toon town in WDW)

Yes I collect maps. I collect everything I can get my hands on. Brouchures from the lobby, reststops, soaps, napkins etc... I have BIG boxes full of this stuff. They are time capsules. I tried to keep everything in yearly groups.

Ditto to that, we have like 15 year old soap laying around.

I think consumable stuff in hotels weren't bolted down, it was coming back home with me. I loved the old Mickey shampoo, soap, etc. It made for nice decorations around the house.

If you have ever designed maps, they are extremely difficult. My hat's off to whoever designs Disney's. My goodness, they are a delight. The best free souveniers of all (although the free "take a trip to WDW" DVDs are close!).
No, no... He's got a point.

The only DL map that I have is one I bought. Not a traditional handout map but one on a foldout paper. Frame quality

My brother and I both got them our last trip. They are awesome, sometimes I wish I could get other maps that big. The things is like 3'x3'.

Well think about it. Imagine dragging around a huge map throughout the whole day. You wouldn't want it to get ruined I imagine?!
Do you think have enough time to go the bathroom before the next show?

I just meant for my wall. I have the one ready to go up on the wall as soon as my interior renovations are done.

I do collect maps. While I was a CP I grabbed one map from every park in every language, just for fun.
That was before they went to the stupid new maps they have now with virtually no descriptions and nothing really interesting to look at.

I collect them as a well. I have some from the 80's, well think I do unless my parents started throwing stuff I left at their house away without telling me
I have fond memories of the large map with the comming-soon Big Thunder Mountain thinking how scary that must be. Studying that map at night across the street at that trailer park where the parking structure is now.
They are definetly lacking these days. Back when they told you about the attractions and were an actual book was better, though the large map is easier to read.

Have you seen the newest maps Gizmata? They came out, I think, in late April. They're the worst ever.

The large maps I have are not for the parks but for collection.
