Esmeralda wrote:Ok all you pin traders. I have a question about a pin my brother received in one of those ebay packs. It's Princess Tiana wearing the dress seen in the parks. Only the dress is blue, not green. All the markings indicate that it's official. Did he get a mistake? Your thoughts?
You can go to this link and look for it. I think they list all of their pins:

Off to check out the official site. Thanks imaginationcelebration!
Edit: I see the green, but not the blue...interesting.
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

It could be an official one but it's best to check the official site for confirmation.

It's hard to tell. Disney's site has two releases of that design, but both of them have a yellowish and white dress, yours looks blue and yellow in the photo.
Go to the link I posted in the response right before your pictures and search for Princess Tiana...leave all the other fields as they are. You'll find the pin and see what I mean.

^I see! So does this mean I have a rare and highly valuable pin? An early mistake that only a few received? (one can always hope!)

I couldn't really tell you if it's fake, an error pin, or what. I couldn't find any images of the artist proof or prototype pin. If Disney knew the pin was an error the lot would be scheduled to be destroyed, but some make it to ebay or places that sell pins. You can try to contact Disney and find out I guess.
