My favorite is the international flower and garden festival which is at epcot from about april to september, the park is full of flowers and character topiaries - some of the topiaries are also found in magic kingdom and mgm studios. Also Mgm has the Star Wars Weekends which are every weekend in June (this may change because it used to be in may), the park is full of star wars characters, they also have a parade and special merchandise for the event.

Honeymoon and one birthday.

Hmm, it's been a while since I went during a special event but I remember one year we went for my step-dad's birthday and I saw one of my best friends there since he shared my step-dad's birthday.

I was at Disney around the time of my 12th birthday. If I recall correctly, we left on the day of my birthday and on the airplane ride home, the flight crew got on the PA system and sang happy birthday!

I have also been to disney on 4th of july and will be there again this year. I have also been there for the holidays. My parents spent there honeymoon at Disney world when they got married many many moons ago!!!

I was in Walt Disney World on my 24th birthday.......and almost forgot about it. I was just SOOOOOOO excited that I was in the house of the mouse that I forgot about my real life and got lost in the parks. I think I remembered because JS3901 said something that jogged my brain. I remember that we were in EPCOT around SSE when that happened.

It's funny what you can forget when you are having fun. :)

I said something to remind you of your birthday? what could that have been?

The most memorable time for me was my 1st wedding anniversary. You see, my husband is british, and we had been living in England for a year, when we came home to visit my family, and I took him to DL for the 1st time. We had a fabulous time. Then once we moved here to the States, we took our daughter when she was 1 1/2 yrs old, it was like going again for the 1st time, because we were discovering it all over again. AWWW HAPPY MEMORIES!! :D

You commented on the fact that someone had a Birthday button, and that brought me back to reality.........from my Disney daze, and the lack of sleep from the drive......

ahh. ok. I think we were actually in front of the Guest Relations station where we needed to check in for the Segway tour when that came up...

It's funny, but the very first time at WDW in 1972 over Thanksgiving weekend felt like a celebration even though it wasn't anything special. It was special to have the park nearby, since we weren't likely to make it to Disneyland, at that time. We stayed at one of the hotels over near what is now downtown Disney. It broke my heart when I saw the Contemporary and nobody told me about that when I called for reservations. I have since stayed at the Contemporary five times over the years since and still have a heartfelt attachment to that place. Thinking back on that first time, it does feel like a special event like none of the following times. Not exactly what you meant, but I think it still applies.

I was there for New Years 2001-2002.

I was there this past January for the Half Marathon and will be going back to run it again in 2009. I'm hoping to make it an annual trip and a goal to keep me in shape. Let's just hope the wallet allows it.

Nice job theBIGyowski, we ran the 1/2 in 2005 and LOVED it! I'm a veteran to road races and the Disney 1/2 is by far the BEST I've ever run! I think they're changing the Donald medals this year! You might also want to try the Tower of Terror 13K, fantastic night run, cool medals! No one does medals like Disney!

Good luck to you!!! :D
