I know it's an extreme, but would you feel the same way if Disney wanted to stripsearch you and your family right there at the turnstile? You'd still have the choice to stay home, after all...
I'd probably stay home then.

I think Disney needs a metal decter machine instead of finger prints. I think most poeple don't have thier finger prints on file. The security of Disney theme park in my opinion is lite. But I understand why, TOO MANY PEOPLE TO SCAN!!! However, they should come up with a much more efficient way and safer way to have security.
Do you think have enough time to go the bathroom before the next show?

We can't you old fool, WE'RE BOLTED TO THE SEATS!!!

The finger prints have nothing to do w/ security.

I think it is to prevent reselling -- or just giving your unused portion of the ticket -- to someone else.

Not to ask the obvious, but is sharing your ticket with someone else really this big of a deal?
No, no... He's got a point.

I don't know, if it was just the AP folks I could understand, although they have pictures on the back anyway so it wouldn't be needed. At the most I have only had 1 day left on any of my tickets at anytime after the vacation and that wouldn't help a lot of people.

I think it's to stop someone from buying two park hoppers and then having one person taking the other pass back out time after time to bring more people in on the same pass. If they didn't have some kind of ID on the pass how would they know it wasn't the same person who would just say they forgot something? Since the pass is good for re-entering this would be an easy thing to do. The old hand stamp process could be reproduced without much effort.

This logic only works if you believe that (a) you could never possibly be mistaken for anyone else, (b) law enforcement officers and agencies are not human, prone to human error and incompetence, and (c) nothing you do could ever be construed by anyone, anywhere, as a potentially threatening activity... and remember, because of the Military Commissions Act of 2006, we are all potential "enemy combatants."... just being an American doesn't help you.

They don't really need the pictures on the cards anymore because a large picture comes up on the new entry devices if you have an AP.

Blah blah blah, The reality is this folks... Does it really matter WHY they want it? If you want to play in Disney's Back yard, you have to play by their rules. Nuff said. You get to make your own rules for your back yard... why can't they?

I think it matters why they want it. Not that it would stop them from being able to do it, but that people can make an educated decision on whether or not they want to "play in Disney's back yard." How do you know that, if you don't know by what rules you're playing?
