The Child Swap is great for families too, because if there's one kid who can't ride, up to four family members can ride again on the child swap, so when we all wait in line once, we go back through with the unlucky parent who had to stay behind the first time. 8)

While this might be hard to confirm, I know that on my trips to Disneyland, there seem to be an awful lot of unaccompanied tweens and teens hanging around. Especially summers and weekends.Croaker wrote:speaking of which....anyone confirm the rumor i heard that in California alot of parents will buy their kids season pass for Disney World and use it as their daycare? you know pack a lunch see ya later.

That's definitely the case. Parents now buy kids Annual Passes and drop them off for the day. You should see the drop off/pick up area near closing. Disneyland has gotten too busy year round. Wait, what's this have to do with Cheating on height restrictions? Oh well, bad Subsonic!

The one problem I see with the restrictions. The CM's aren't consistent, When our boys were right at the line, some CM's would let them ride and then others would not. It didn't make any sense. Either you can or you can't. I'm not talking about two different rides. We had it happen on R&R at MGM. We rode it in the morning and the kids were fine, when we came back in the afternoon the CM said no. We finally got a manager over and she said yes.
Sometimes it's a power trip for the younger CM's.

At Cedar Point (amusement park in Ohio), kids are required to do the height checks for the rides with height restrictions barefoot or at guest services in advance, barefoot, so that it's known for sure that they are the proper height without shoes on. That way, they can't get the 1/4" wedge help!

Ha. I never had to worry about height requirements since I have always been tall.
I remember my parents using the Child Swap system when I was little. I have a distinct memory of going on Space Mountain with my mom while my dad waited with my little sisters. When my dad asked if I wanted to go on it again, this time with him, I said no. (I would never deny myself a second ride on Space Mountain now.)

Cheating isn't a good idea. Like most have said there is a reason for the height restrictions. If the kid is small, try the kiddie rides. I did that last time I went and I don't remember having more fun at the park. Little kids love the little rides... including Winnie the pooh!

We had this experience too, back in 1996. Coming through Adventureland on a Saturday evening and trying to get back to Main Street... oh man! It was wall-to-wall teenagers just "hanging out" so thick that we nearly lost each other while trying to push through the crowd! While this might be hard to confirm, I know that on my trips to Disneyland, there seem to be an awful lot of unaccompanied tweens and teens hanging around.
