Things you shouldn't have done at the parks...

I can't remember anything that WE'VE done was "illegal".
However, my wife and I witnessed a couple who were joining the Mile-High club on the Peoplemover. It was quite clear that they had achieved the "mover" part of Peoplemover. When they exited the ride, there was an army of Disney Security waiting for them. They were then removed from site in an extremely aggressive manner. They seemed to be laughing at first, but it got very serious in a matter of seconds. I am quite sure they were ejected from the park, but may have been arrested as well. We can't walk through Tomorrowland without a mention of that event. I signed the petition as a tribute to that fateful visit.

Only time I got caught was when I stood up just before a drop on PotC. The boat stopped and a voice came over the loudspeaker warning that the ride wouldn't move until I'd sat down.
Tossed some rock candy around on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.
That's it. I was pretty well-behaved as a kid. Nothing too out of control.

That reminds me of a time when it was almost closing time, and I was with a bunch of my friends. I took out my spinny light toy thing, and was playing around with it while my friends were using their arms as oars. The voice came on and told us to stop.Darren wrote:Only time I got caught was when I stood up just before a drop on PotC. I have been busted for minor things like running and pulling garbage out of the water on POTC. But the one big thing (accident i swear) i did i wasn't caught. I was at the Disney Gallery in DLR and, dang my wide hips, i knocked over a vase and it smashed onto the floor! it was behind a plant, out of the way and no one was in the room so i just hightailed it out of there. i went back a few hours later and they had swept it up and removed the other vase that was across the way as well. wow i can't believe i just admitted that.
Yes, this is my happy place! Well, when not in my happy place.

Oh wow. I wonder what would have happened if you got caught. But it was an accident.Halvogirl wrote:I have been busted for minor things like running and pulling garbage out of the water on POTC. I think I would've done the same thing. And just prayed that Disney would let me through their gates again.

Nah......... if it's in a shop and it's out in the open, they risk having it broken. There is no such thing (legally) as a "you break it, you buy it". If a customer accidentally breaks it, they write it off as a loss. If it were REALLY valuable... they would have it
1. under glass
2. away from reach of the general public.

Knowing me i would have just blubberd like a child if someone caught me. I was terrified. I love disneyland and i didn't want to be kicked out. beside, i give them so much of my money anyway, i think they could forgive one vase. You never know, they may have taken mercy on you if you confessed and started sobbing to security.

Ok, after reading a bunch of these blatent breaking of Mickey's rules I thought why would anyone not just behave and follow the rules. But ..... then I had to remember that the last time we were at wdw my daughter and I waited by the elevaors at the WL for someone to get in with a concierge level key and yes (It shames me to even write this) we got in with them to that level and got out. It wasn't long before a very plesant CM let us know we were not suppose to be there and escorted us back to the elevator.

Me too, but I've always been a bit of a goody-goody type (I drive the speed limit, don't cut in line, never had detention in school, etc.). I think it's just in my hard wiring.knedeau wrote:I guess I've always been a good girl at the parks....

Heheheh.... well.... I'm a good girl at the parks..... But I do tend to have a leadfoot while driving. I've learned that having to drive in MA for work...turns the former good NH driver into a horrible MA driver (I never knew what "road rage" was until driving in MA! Thank goodness for audio books.. they help to calm the, "I can't believe this bozo almost sideswiped me" anger.) Hehehe
