Haha...that's pretty funny. This CM wasn't interested in the more Disneyesque term, I guess!Amy wrote:Yup! So long as they don't hit the reset button and reboot the ride. I actually lost one of my best scores ever that way.Amy wrote:I believe that stop in Buzz would be considered a brilliant opportunity of which your hubby took full advantagefigmentaholic wrote:...Once my hubby and I got a slightly long stop in Buzz Lightyear, and he maxed out his score.. Also got stopped once in a dark area of the TTA, that was rather boring, nothing at all to see. Thankfully it was fast.

Oh Amy, I wish! I think it was more a case of "thems the breaks."

I have heard it other places. I don't think it is Disney's specifically, but you have to admit that it is pretty funny.

Bummer Disney is usually so good about handing out a FP or something for those little inconveniences. It costs them very little and makes guests feel a little more important because their time is being valued...momeja wrote:Oh Amy, I wish! I think it was more a case of "thems the breaks."

Thankfully I wasn't stuck on it, but last night we were at MK and Splash Mountain started suffering difficulties around 6 or so in the evening. We FPd it around 7 and had a return time between 9:10 and 10:10. We were in Frontierland and Liberty Square shopping, riding, etc. and we kept checking back with SM. They eventually ran a few logs through and we could see them stacked up in the area that is after the big drop. We stood there on the bridge for about 10 minutes watching, listening while CMs and presumably engineers radioed back and forth. Finally we heard them say that those in the boats should remain seating but that CMs would be assisting them out of the boats. About 10 minutes after that, we saw the people start climbing out and walking along the tiny, narrow walkway beside the water!

Re: What rides have you been stuck on when they broke down?
I've been stuck on Haunted Mansion numerous times, Pirates, Indy, Matterhorn, the older Submarine Voyage, (now I'll really do some old DLR ones), Skyway, Adventure Through Inner Space, and Mr. Toad. At WDW, had a loooong breakdown on World of Motion when lightening hit outside the building - all the power, including A/C, was out, but emergency lights were on. Funny, I've never minded the delays, always feel like I'm getting to observe some secrets

HA, I find this hilarious. I'm going to start regularly using that phrase. I'll work it into daily conversation!Amy wrote:Yup! It seemed like awhile, but probably not more than 10 minutes. That room really freaked my youngest daughter out
