What rides have you been stuck on when they broke down?

Ok, here we go.
Most recent was Test Track, where our car caused the ride to stop just as we came under the thermal image entering the building. We got to ride again immediatly.
In the 80's, back when Space mountain was a double seater, my cart was stopped right on the edge of one of the larger drops, I must have waited 20 minutes, when someone cam up and throw the other seatbelt back into the car and had to push my cart over the drop. So I got to finish the ride with the lights on, and no I did not raise my hands those bars a way to close!
Back before that I managed to get one of the go carts off the rail and into the grass. Some girl had to come out and push my car out of the grass and back onto the track.

hey, um i didnt see an intro forum so im just gonna say "hello" here.
i would be surprised if there is really anyone who hasnt experienced an attraction breakdown. lucky them i guess.
well back when they had Rocket Rods, i remember it broke down each and everytime i was in line for it. i also remember getting stuck on Space Mountain and they had to turn the lights on and manually push the cars- it was neat. oh, and once we got stuck on Haunted Mansion, right where a spooky face pops up at you. my friend got so scared because of that!

thats cool. each time RR broke down, the wait would be for very long and i was tempted to leave, but stuck with it because i thought the next time i tried to ride it- it would just break down again.subsonic wrote:I was fortunate enough to have worked there when Rocket Rods was opened. The que for Rocket Rods was sooooooooooooooo long (or maybe it just seemed that way) and it broke down so much that I was always hesitent to get in line for it. I think I rode that ride 3 or 4 times. Then they killed it off and I wish I had gone on it a few more times.
oh well... I'm just thinking some day I'll take my kids to Disneyland, look at the still vacant track up above Fantasyland and say "Man, I remember the Rocket Rods..." And they'll say, "What's the Rocket Rods, Dad?" And I'll say, "It was this cool ride that they built on the People Mover track." And they'll say, "What's the People Mover, Dad?" And I'll say, "It was this cool ride then went around on the track outside and inside parts of Space Mountain and Circle Vision..." And they'll say, "What's Circle Vision, Dad?" And I'll say...

The only one I can think of is Roger Rabbit's Car-Toon Spin. We were escorted through most of the ride. Turned out the ride was stopped because of difficulty loading a handicapped passenger. By the time we all got to the end, we we all offerred an immediate re-board.horizons1 wrote:I think the more interesting question is: What ride have you been evacuated from?

I am making a video of answers to random questions. Will make a DVD out of it and keep it on hand in a portable player so I can just select the right chapter, hit play and plant the kids in front of it. After all aren't we supposed to be bringing up the anti-social, non-interactive generation.eagle4life69 wrote:you may want to start writing that down get your whole speach ready
