Well, I guess they could make it look like an old train station sign to fit with Main Street theming but that would cost too much in the bean counter's eyes.
I'm pretty sure I saw a Wait Time listed somewhere in Disneyland. (I remember the wait time for Nemo was listed as 120 minutes.)

I want to say it was 90 min. for Splash Mountain. I remember it was the first time our family would be experiencing it in WDW and we weren't about to miss it, so we opted to wait in the long line anyway.

There is a wait time sign at the end of main street by the hub. I saw a picture of it on another website and it shows the wait for nemo was 210 minutes on the 17th.

The most I've waited was 90 minutes for Soarin' Over California. I usually wouldn't wait 90 min for Soarin', but it was the last ride of the night and it was with a group of friends who I knew wouldn't be able to come back for a long while. I had told them how great Soarin' was, so on the way out it was like, "Now or never..." All in all it was worth it!

But what about the best line reduction? I once waited for Splash Mountain at Disneyland (posted wait time 90 min) and got on in 45. :D

That would be the perfect time to use some of that video screen tech they're so fond of these days.

Just have the font look like letters painted on wood.

Oh, I know they have one at The Hub, it's run by Guest Relations. They call the attractions, find out the wait times, then put the plastic numbers up.

I'm suggesting they have something that's more automated and fits the theme better. Like Schnemo said, theme a video screen to look like wood panels.

Our longest wait in April (we went the week after Easter) was 15 minutes for BTMRR after the parade with a FP.

I credit my short wait times to my study of TourGuide Mike. Though you could probably tour without him and avoid the lines, he really worked for us (especially considering we were there during one of the busiest times of the year)

I waited for over 75 min once for Splach Mountain at DL, I think that was shortly after it opened, however, these days we try to take advantage of the Fast Pass or wait until the parades or fantasmic is on, as that is the best time to go on some of the popular rides, otherwise, we try to avoid long lines if possible.

150 minutes for opening weekend for the Tower of Terror at DCA... and I have a photo to prove it! That was ridiculous (but totally worth it)!

Soarin' will be getting better, while the wait time will not get shorter, there is now an interactive group activity in the queue that is pretty fun and makes time go by much faster.

I think the longest wait is after i purchase my Disney Vacation....the longest line is on the calendar between the day i'm looking at to the actual day of departure. now which line is the shortest. its on the last day when you scurry around your room making sure you gathered all of your stuff and are heading to the airport to depart from you shortest vacation (don't all disney vacations go too fast!)

Sometimes it doesn't matter how long the wait is, you just have to get on the Ride. particularly for soarin'
Yes, this is my happy place! Well, when not in my happy place.
