I've been stuck on several rides but the longest time (I think it was for about 10 or 15 minutes) was on Spaceship Earth, but I enjoyed each bit of it. It was like I actually was part of the attraction (that's what I fancied! ). But I've been stuch several times on the Haunted Mansion too (not that long though) and I loooooooved it!

Me too! I gather from other posts that whenever there is a handicapped person going on Haunted Mansion then the ride is stopped briefly while they get on/off the "doom buggies." Fun! I've been stopped 4 or 5 times I think in the hallway, facing the floating candlestick, next to the "let me out" guy... Maybe next time it will be watching the ballroom...
No, no... He's got a point.

Yikes!!! It seems like it would just drop... Maybe the acceleration system kept it in place?? Boy, talk about most folks' nightmare about elevators... Just dragged out... Until.....!jpsevil wrote:I once was stuck on Tower of Terror for about 15 min. The entire ride worked properly until we were loaded into drop position. The ride then stopped. We didn't drop. The lights came on and we kept hearing "Please remain seated -- this ride will resume at any time" or whatever the canned message was. People were getting a little antsy. We were then dropped with the lights on, which was actually cool. They let us get right back on if we wanted. Most people turned down the second chance, especially when they found out that they had to ride in a real elevator to get back to the original loading area!

I haven't been walked off of a ride before, but I was stuck on Haunted Mansion for quite a while right by the giant spiders once. We saw a hidden Mickey on his back, so decided to call him Mortimer just for fun. Wonder if he actually does have a name.
Other than that, Spaceship Earth has gotten stopped nearly every time I ride, but there are so many details, I don't mind a couple extra minutes to look at them!

Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

I've only been stuck (by which I mean I've been evac'd) on California Screamin'. I've been stuck in Zone 2.2 and Zone 4 -- both inclines.

The worst that's happened to me was when I was younger and they stopped It's a Small World. I know it's slow waiting now, like at Pirates, but this was about half an hour. They escorted us out of the boats, past the 2D scenery, and directly onto the streets of Fantasy Land. How we got out there so quickly, I doubt I'll ever know; it seemed like we just walked past the palm trees onty the pavement.
I almost would like to get stopped on one of the rides (granted, not under the heat lamps or in the cold room of Test Track.) I guess I take that back; all I really want is to see behind the scenes. Now how do I get to do that?

The first time we went to WDW, we got trapped on Spaceship Earth.
Listening to Tomorrow's Child for 45 mins is not a bundle of fun and has put me of the song. We had to wait for the Cast members to get up to us before we could be evacuated.
Still no harm done and we still go on Spaceship Earth every time we are in EPCOT.

Wow, pretty cool that this topic has gotten resurrected <sp>
The time between posts is about 3 years. Looks almost as if this topic broke down and all were waiting to be evacuated.
Enough about that, the only ride that I (along with my wife) was ever evacuated from seems to be a popular one here, Test Track. It was within the first couple of years after opening so the bugs were being worked out. And it happened twice.
The ride stopped, the announcement was made that "your test vehicle has stopped...etc." Then the cast member made the announcement that the ride had broken down as the work lights came on and we'd be evacuated by a cast member. The guided us to a stairwell where they handed us passes to get to the front of the line when it bacame operational again.
The other time it stopped and we were evacuated was when it began to rain while we were riding. Good thing we were indoors. The same thing...evacuated and received a pass to return later when it was operational again. This time we didn't go back (on the same day). I still have that pass somewhere.

Are we there yet? When can we go back?
I don't know what's worse, the anticipation of going or the withdrawals after getting home.

I never thought about what they would do if it were raining or storming during TT. I've always been pretty lucky with the weather at WDW, aside from the occasional rain shower. I'm assuming that if it's just raining, they will keep it going, but how bad does the weather have to get before they shut down the ride?rknrlrcstr wrote: The other time it stopped and we were evacuated was when it began to rain while we were riding.
