What rides have you been stuck on when they broke down?

In relation to Disney Parks but not specific to a single resort

Never had to be evacuated but we've been "stuck" on the Haunted Mansion (not such a bad thing!), Winnie the Pooh, and Buzz Lightyear - which enabled my son to score 999,999!

Thats Awesome did you keep the picture at the end of the ride? I would have. That would be something your son could share on show and tell...that's if he is still in grade school.

If anyone would like to know the secret to scoring 999,999 at Buzz in the Magic Kingdom at WDW, shoot me a private message and I'll give you the secret. (Though I'm sure you can find it somewhere on the internet these days...)

rides I've been stuck on

Post by mickster68 » Apr Sat 23, 2005 4:30 pm

I've never been evacuated, either, but also got stuck for nearly 15 mins on Haunted Mansion and what seems like a lifetime on Splash Mountain!!! My ears were ringing for days..."How do you do..."

Awww, that does not sound like fun.

About being stuck on Haunted Mansion, i wonder who actually hasn't gotten stuck on it at one point.

I've never been stuck on HM. Splash Mountain we were stuck for only a minute, and that's only because there were too many logs backed up for off-loading.

Ive been stuck on Grizzly River run (In California Adventure)
and been evacuated. They actually Drained the whole thing before gettign us off. We was stuck on the last drop (Right before it so until it was drained we were leaning backwards ready to fall but held by a gate.) They evacuated us through the back and by the pumps.

Ive been stuck but never evacuated from Splash Mountain in Florida and Space Mountain in Florida.

I've been stuck on Haunted Mansion, Spaceship Earth, and Buzz Lightyear.
Those are the only ones I can think of right now.

I've never been evacuated though.

For those of you who might not know...
The reason just about everyone has been stuck on HM, is because it's one of the never ending "train" rides (all the cars are connected). Those keep stoping because they are probably letting a disabled person on.

That was a VERY bad problem if they had to drain the flume. I know that they only times they do that at Splash Mountain are in real emergencies.

I have never been stuck on a ride as such, but have been stuck in the queue.
Space Mountain in WDW broke down and was waiting for 2 hours in the queue,
however when they managed to restore it, you went on the ride with the
lights on, so it was more scary :?

But fun because i got to watch the whole show on the TV's around the queue.

Indiana Jones at DL can be very frustrating to be stuck on... because I was stuck on that ride on a recent trip to DL at a point where the car was bouncing like it was off-roading, but not going anywhere... hurt my back, real good.

Ouch. I got stuck on Indiana Jones recently as well. We just got into the jeep and were about the leave and head into one of the doors, but the ride broke down. We got off the ride and waited for about 15 minutes. It finally reopened and we got back on.

Just last week I was on Splash Mountain in DLR and the ride stopped just as we were about to ascend the final hill to take that plunge. We were stuck right where the buzzards were. Hearing them repeat the same lines got a bit annoying after a while.
