I voted for Pirates because this was also my first Disney ride. We arrived just after Hurricane Charley in August 2004 and the parks were empty!!! We could take our pick of rides (no lines) and didn't use fast pass for about 3 days!

We rode both at WDW this October and I have to say I think the re do at HM was absolutely amazing. Still love PoC but HM has edged ahead!!!

Wow, I can't believe the results. PoTC is OK, but we rate the Haunted Mansion in the top 2 or 3 rides in all of WDW. PoTC isn't even in the top 5 at the MK for us.

PIRATES PIRATES PIRATES!! I love how it's in New orleans square, I love the smell of it, I love the sound of the boats at the end of the ride as they come off the hill, I love the soundtrack, And I even love the new editions that they added. They are just so subtle it doesn't mess with the ride at all. CLASSIC!

I chose the haunted mansion because no matter how many times i went on i never got tired of it. POTC on the other hand, I can't stand anymore...I think the movie ruined it for me (i saw it to many times and i hated the third movie). I think they should have left capt. Jack out of the ride.

Haunted mansion for me...PoC is great but you cant beat the ghost host! The comical eeriness of the place is enough to make me want to go on again and again. Not to mention it's the home of haunted mansion holiday!!

This one is a tough call, although HM had me hooked from the beginning. I guess being a bit of a tech geek, I liked the effects from little on.

HM gets my vote without debate. It's always the first and last attraction I do at MK. I love the whole package. And even after countless rides, portions still (irrationally) give me the willies.

This is really a tough one for me, cause I have great memories from both rides...ugh!!! I guess I will go with Pirates and it wins by only a hair!

I had to go with the Haunted Mansion because that is the one I loved as a child and look forward to when I go back each time.

If given the option, I would live in the haunted mansion, lol. It is my favorite, and the first ride that we go on during every disney vacation we have ever had.

They are both great rides. The first Pirates movie was so much better tan the haunted mansion movie!

I kid, Pirates is good but Haunted just has that extra somethin'. The gloom is so counter-Disney, it is a real gem!
