This is just Walt Disney owned buses that were factored into this. I will say it falls between JWG's and js3901's answers.

close enough. The actual number is about 230. According to the CM who drive them, some of the older RTS buses that you see out there have an upwards of 2 million miles. After 999,999 miles the bus will rollover to 000,001. All of Disney's buses are maintained by the Walt Disney company and you can actually see they refueling area for Disney Transport. It is located right behind the AAA car care center. WDW is currently operating three kinds of buses. The RTS are the original buses that Disney ordered up until 2002. The orange seats stand for an RTS-04 and the purple seats stand for an RTS-06. The second style of buses Disney has are Nova low floor models. Disney only ordered these for about a year or so (2003). Finally Disney transitioned to the Gillig Low Floor bus. These were first ordered in 2004 and Disney has continued to order these.

Each Disney Transport bus will run approximately 50,000 miles a year and will be serviced after 5,000 miles. If the case happens that a bus will break down, each bus passing will pick up guests and take them to their destination.

With all that.... it's your turn js3901!

wow. cool. didn't know quite that much about the busses. thanks.

as for the new one, it's a 2-parter: in The Living Seas (or now, The Seas with Nemo and Friends), how many gallons of water are in the tank, and how quickly does that water get filtrated?

I forget how many, but I believe it is a couple million. I have no idea about the filtration time though.

The tank is approximately 5.7 million gallons of water, but I have no idea on the filtration rate either. I should know this as my family was given a tour of the surface of the water a few years back. :nemo:

got the volume of the tank right, Mouseketeer. 5.7 million gallons. The filtration is quite a bit harder. thinking back on it, if no one gets it by tomorrow, I'll give it to you.

I'm going to take a wild guess. The entire volume of the tank is filtered 4 times a day.

I was looking for time-wise (like hours, minutes). not really how many times per day. But, as for your guess, it's actually a little over twice that (when I figured it out in my head)

Wow that is impressive. I looked into it since I had some free time and it says that it has a reserve of 1 million gallons. I think that is the biggest indoor aquarium.

it IS the largest artificial environment in the world. I believe they said that on the old narration with the old seacabs.

ok, since noone has guessed it yet, I'll reveal it. The entire tank can be filtered in approximately 2 Hours and 43 Minutes. when I fugured it out, it'll be cleaned about 8.7 times per 24 hours. the tanks (according to the insurance requirements) can also be drained in a little over 2 minutes. quite impressive for that volume of water...

Mouseketeer, since you got at he first part right, I'll let you take it next

JS3901, The piece you answered was much more difficult than what I answered. Due to the detail of your answer and what I learned from it, I would feel better if you took the next question.... :D
