What rides have you been stuck on when they broke down?

In relation to Disney Parks but not specific to a single resort

I took two, one of the caterpillar and one of the cards with the lights on. I'll post them on my facebook in a little while since I imported them from my iPhone.

Okay, I posted them! They're in my Disneyland Resort album towards the bottom.

Nice ~ it's hard to take clear pictures in there with the darkness and jerky movements from the vehicle. They look pretty good ~ they must have been painted fairly recently. A lot of time it seems like the blacklight scenes suffer a bit when the lights come up...

We've been on the Matterhorn, not as it was breaking down but as they were adding more cars to the track right in front of us. We had a little wait while they did that, but then got to ride again :)

I kind of can't believe how many people have gotten evacuated from a ride! I have been to both DL and WDW many times and have never had that happen to me. I even went to WDW almost every day for a summer while on the college program. I have always wanted to be evacuated! Hopefully it will happen sometime! :P

I had never been evacuated until this past trip - off Splash Mountain. It's sort of fun to do something different, but I would have rather had the 45 minutes we were stuck to have spent that time in the parks!

My best friend and I got stuck on the Haunted Mansion in WDW three times during the two times we've been on it but it wasn't for very long. Once was in the library with the turning heads, another time was in the area with the staircases all over the place and the other was in the hallway in between the ballroom and the attic.

those temp stops were probably to load wheelchar-bound guests, not an actual breakdown....

Yeah, they didn't last very long so I figured it was for the wheelchair bound guests. I didn't mind it at all because it gave us a chance to relax.

I actually had breakdowns for the first time on my last trip with the HM. I don't think the CM's really knew what they were doing because they had to bring someone in to show them how to restart the ride. And the speed of the ride was all over the place: after restart it was a bit faster than normal, then it would go to normal speed, then it will slow down to a drag right before it would stop. Every time it stopped after a few seconds you would hear them announce "show restart" and it would be going again. When I rode the HM a few hours later, I had none of this. I don't know if it was the ride itself or if the problem was actually the CM's... :?:

That does sound strange. Perhaps the spooks were up to no good? :hm_ghost: With the show restart announcement I would wonder if it was the attraction itself.

I never can figure out if the ride is actually broken or if they stop it to load mobility impaired guests. I guess it could be either, I don't know.
