What rides have you been stuck on when they broke down?

In relation to Disney Parks but not specific to a single resort

I know it sounds crazy, but my DH and I were actually hoping to get stuck on Rocket Rods (it shouldn't have been too hard since it was always breaking down) just so we could walk the peoplemover track. The closest we ever got to it was exiting the ride and by the time we were downstairs, the CMs were starting to evacuate the ride

I like that idea. Using one ride to relive the memory of another.

Unfortunately, it seems as though that will never happen :(

Gosh, I have had pretty good luck. I haven't been stuck on any ride except the boats in Mexico. That's worse than Small World! I was in sight of the dock and stuck where Donald says something about remaining seated or something. I had to hear it over and over and over. Annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not even Splash Mountain. I REALLY hate that earworm!

MmeLeota wrote:Space Mountain...did not get evacuated, but got to finish the ride with the lights on. Unfortunately, we were in the last braking section before the spiral sequence at the end. It was kind of creepy though at first because it was pitch black when we first were stopped and you could hear the other trains still going through gravity sections...we didn't know if we should brace oursevles or be excited. As soon as the lights came on we went nuts!
We were evacuated off our first ride Saturday. We were on Buzz and the cars stopped. At first we thought it was for a wheelchair, but the guns stopped working. Then the lights came on and all that was moving were the set pieces...no audio. We were in the room with Zurg shooting at us. They told us to remain seated and a CM would be with us shortly. Finally they came around and got everyon out of their cars and gave us all a line pass for the attraction of our choice. I immediately thought about this topic and how I would have an evacuation to post...lol!

Dinosaur, Pirates (stuck in a place where we couldn't see anything and the lightning was going off constantly :() , Alice in Wonderland (loved it they had to take us out through the repair room), Adventures thru Inner Space - a very fond memory of mine.

I got stuck on Spaceship Earth, but it wasn't bad at all because the music was good and there was plenty to look at. This was on the original ride.

Splash Mountain, and I got to listen to over and over the two vultures going on "Looking for a laughing place, eh? Look who's laughing now!" for over half an hour...

good thing that was one of my favorite bits of the ride. :mickey:

Last year I took my father to WDW, he'd never been before, and 5 mins into The Haunted Mansion it broke down on us. I had just bragged that I have never been on a ride that broke down, go figure!
