We have sub-zero temperatures quite frequently and they seem to do ok...here is a pic from last summer...he kind of outgrew his cute little mickey look after a few months though

I'm hoping some others will show up this year

Honestly, I have never tried to intentionally grow a cacti a certain way, but I would think it to be quite difficult. But the prickly pear naturally grows that way, so it's not uncommon to find Mickeys...
This is quite true, actually! Our favorite camping area in the Texas Hill Country is chock full cactus U.M.'s. We freaked when we saw the first one and busted out the camera to take a picture right away... only to discover another one... and then another... and another....
Kind of lost the excitement after that.
But hey, any Mickey is a good Mickey! The more the mousekemerrier!

That is so cool! I think I saw one close to that at Home Depot. I wish I could buy one like that. I did have one of the pumpkins from "Living With The Land". I had to make Pumpkin Pie out of it because it was going to go bad the next day. Great pictures!

Thanks Metal Rage! We had a few last year that were Mickey shaped, none so far this year, the "ears" are too lopsided...
