The Wilderness Lodge has been my favorite for years, but on several recent trips I have enjoyed going next door to the Villas at the WL and hanging out in their lobby. We can pull up a couple of rocking chairs right in front of the fireplace while listening to the WL music and it isn't very long before I'm in full nap mode. There never seems to be much traffic through there so it is a good place to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Although nothing beats the "welcome home" feeling of walking into Papa's Den at OKW, I think my favorite lobbies are Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge. If I had to choose one, it would be the Animal Kingdom Lodge because I love the African theme/colors/music, the open staircase that leads down to the reataurant area, and the fire pit!

I just love the Poly so much, and its amazing lobby is only one of the reasons. I do like the GF too because I always immediately think of the Disney World episode of Full House, where Jesse sings to Becky. :)

I believe the Wilderness Lodge will always be my favorite lobby...but there is something about the Grand Floridan during Christmas time that will always have a special place in my heart

I like to visit the GF lobby but it seems noisy and overwhelming to me. I like the Poly. For moderates, I was surprised at how nice the Coronado lobby was.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

We honeymooned there and stayed in one of the suites in the main building. It was quite noisy, but I actually like it more because of that...There was always something going on (I especially enjoyed listening to the piano player from above), which made it exciting:).

I was at the Grand Californian Hotel's lobby this past weekend to wait a while for my dinner reservation and it's still real nice. I haven't really hung out in it outside of Christmas since I'm used to seeing the giant tree in the middle but I just wish I could stay there and really soak in the sights.

Yeah, Jacca, I know what you mean. I love the Beach Club, and although the lobby isn't anything to write home about I do love the fact that you just walk out the back doors and you are plunged into the magic of Crescent Lake. Most of the lobbies have some minor walking you need to "see" anything but the Beach and Yacht have instant gratification. Even the Boardwalk requires walking down stairs before you are rewarded with a magical view.

When I think about the other deluxe resorts, Poly has rooms and a pool in the way of the view. So does Grand Floridian.

I love that when we were staying at Coronado Springs there were multiple pools. Although the lobby was a good walk from our room, Disney made sure you were a short walk from a pool!

I love the Grand Californian. They did an amazing job with the front lobby.

I'm with you!

The Polynesian is really beautiful, but I gotta say the Fort Wilderness Lodge really speaks to my personality better. :D It's just a very fun theme. Though I have yet to see Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I think you phrased it perfectly, although I do love the Polynesian too.

Oh for me, my favorite lobby is definately Animal Kingdom Lodge, Jambo House. It is amazing to walk in and see the big window looking over the savanah, the high ceiling and the decor is amazing. It is my favorite resort to stay at.
