Test track does have a lot of track. There are two different versions you could get (either the truck or the deer). I guess I could believe that. As for the Railroad, can't you get on and off of it, making it more along the lines of a monorail.

 What!?
I've been missing out on half of the ride for 9 years!
Where is this deer?

Good point, but I think that the Railroad is more of a ride because it is actually in the park. I know that I've ridden it just to ride it, but I think I've only ridden the monorail to get somewhere. Although the monorail technically goes through Future World....

I looked it up and there is only one version. I always thought there was a deer that popped out at you. If you are wondering Course B is the vehicle storage area.

The wiki says Test Track is "4286 ft (1306.4 m)".

Are you counting the mysterious "Course B"?

I was gonna say "Deer? o_O" That must be the special version they don't let people who complain about 'the old days' go on. ;)

Strange about the track length discrepancy (though as is so often said on here, wiki != absolute truth). I know they make/made a big to-do about it being the longest ride. Someone been fiddling the numbers?

Some say that the Monrail is technically not an attraction as it's the transportation system. Some say that the Monorail is considered an attraction, this way is doesn't have to follow exspensive and complicated laws that other transportation systems around the state and country have to follow. If you look in the interior you'll see that it is missing items that a subway, bus, or train would have for safety, that doesn't mean its unsafe. Its just what a cast member told me once. It might be true trivia or just a lot of junk. Sleeping Beauty 5 that was neat triva about TT being the longest with 5,246 feet of track. Its so hard to imagine TT being so long.

Very interesting to read figment. I know they have fire extinguishers and other stuff on board in each car. I also know they have escape hatches on the roof and a handle bar that runs the length of the monorail so you can safely crawl around the top of the monorail from car to car if there is some sort of emergency.

After you crawl car to car how do you get down? Now you have people on top of a monorail.

This is what wiki says: If the emergency affects the entire train, then guests are evacuated to the surface of the beam. Guests again open the emergency roof hatches, but do not simply move to the adjacent car. Instead, they use a small handrail present along the top of each train car to move all the way to the front of the train. The train's pilot can attach a knotted rope to both the top and the base of the windscreen, and guests use the rope to shimmy down the windscreen to the surface of the beam. They finally start walking along the beam away from the train.

I will never ride the monorail again!!!

I have seen them use a cherry picker to rescue people from the monorail before, but I have never seen anyone walking the beam. I could just see the "average" American at 250lbs sliding down the windscreen and walking along the monorail track.

There's a thread somewhere on here about a fire on the monorail about twenty years ago. It was on the Epcot line. I couldn't find it to attach here but it included the newspaper articles that covered the story. It was interesting and quite a bit scary. I couldn't imagine being on the monorail during any emergency let alone a fire.

Sometimes, when I least expect it, I'll start reading a thread that I've posted on and find the most interesting line of conversation. I had no idea that trivia on Test track would take on a life of it's own...but I'm sticking to my guns and even with the "mysterious Course B", it would still be the longest track length.

Thinking more clearly about it... having a near accident in a car with a deer would be so un-Disney. First Bambi's mother and now this?
It all seems kind of morbid...

From what I understand each car is fire proof so a fire in one car should only affect that one car. Now let's get on with some more trivia!!!
