In this lifetime, it'll be a pirates life for me matey.

After this life, I think I'll be preferring to spend my time with 999 other happy haunts.

I adore them both equally, but some silly cat is making me choose a favorite. I'm agreeing with the vast majority here - Pirates be the real treasure mateys!

I'm in the minority - I'd choose Haunted Mansion over Pirates, although they're my two favorite attractions at the Magic Kingdom.

Tough Choice, but it has to be the HM, considering ALL versions....Music, Narration, Effects, Smells, etc.....

I suppose I really prefer Pirates over The Haunted Mansion because: Using your imagination Pirates seems 'real.' The entire ride is believeable. Although, I have always the Haunted Mansion there are sections of it that are so unbelieveable. Like the giant spider and web. That doesn't even look real. I also think the graveyard is a bit corny. I feel the rest of the ride is good. But, Pirates rock!

Pirates by far. I have to say Pirates because Haunted Mansion has always scared me. (Not as much now as when I was little).

Both are great rides, but if you throw "scary" into the mix, hands down it's the HAUNTED MANSION!

It was a tough choice but I will say pirates. It's neck and neck but pirates has the drop and the musty smell.

The hairy leg chronicle going on in various threads makes me giggle. I must admit though, I remember when my mom first pointed it out to me and I think of her/that trip every time I look at it now.

I can't imagine what she'd say if I told her a hairy pirate leg made me think of her.

That is a very funny story. What a memory to have.

There are three pirates singing near the end of the ride. One of the pirates reminds of us of a former CM. So, when we ride Pirates all we can see is our friend standing there singing.

Not even close. I've always loved Pirates best. I'm not crazy about spooky things, so while I appreciate the imaginativeness of HM, I can never enjoy it as much as PotC.

I enjoy both but I had to go with Haunted Mansion

One because it is a haunted house and I LOVE Halloween. I do like Pirates but I like Mansion better. Also the CM's seem to be better over at the Mansion they're usually better actor's.

I picked Haunted Mansion, but it was tough both are great! (crossing fingers that the refurb doesn't make me regret my vote)

Am I too biased to vote? I said Mansion, because, well. . . yeah. Avoiding bias, and looking at both American parks, though, I'd rank them thusly:

Pre-Rehab

Post-Rehab (assuming WDW's Mansion is at least on par with DL)
