Ohhhhh, Yeah, Mugs are cool Souvenirs too.... I suppose the best souvenirs are the ones that you can use everyday..... clothes, dishes, pens, etc. So while you're using them, everyone in a while, you think, I remeber where I was when I bought this.....and on that day... this also happened...... :)

I have my Pink Mickey/Minnie Ears at work..... and I remember JUST where I was when I bought them..... (at a cart in Tomorrowland... ) Hehehe, every once in a while, I put them on when I'm working.....
"Hey, Look at that guy in the Goofy Mask!" "That's not a mask!" "Oh... Sorry Lady!"

My wife collects Disney post cards and she gets a christmas ornament or two. I pick up DVDs and, of course, CDs of park music.

Tradition

Post by soccermouse » Oct Fri 27, 2006 11:09 am

We started a tradition with my son. We buy him a new stuffed Michey (about 7" tall) on each trip to Disneyland. We try to pick one out that really helps us remember that year/trip. One has the year 2000 stamped on his foot. Another Mickey is in a HTH bell hop uniform to remember the year that the HTH openned. Of course we have a 50th one. This last trip, we bought one were Michey is dressed like Jack Sparrow to remember the reopening of Pirates.

These are some super cool ideas, and much appreciated. :D

I notice the best souvenirs are small and/or useful in nature.

My dd collected pressed pennies and a few meaningful pins (small) and I bet my ds would love a hat next trip (useful).... Hmmm...what to get for myself...

I love the Hats! I have several sets of ears, crowns and cowboy hats from the park. Every time a Hat day rolls around at work, i get teased about which ears i will wear this time around.
My favorite souvener of all has to be mickey mouse hoop earings in silver and gold. i wear them almost everyday :mickey:
Yes, this is my happy place! Well, when not in my happy place.

It's official, The family is visiting Disneyland in October!

We usually get a lot of stationary items: pens, pencils, notepads. They're small, useful, and you can keep them at your desk to provide inspiration while you work.

bdinger: second the thoughts on the Park Music. Would leave the parks with the new CD blaring in the car. Sometimes play one coming in, especially The Haunted Mansion and the mix CD I made in 2000 (almost entirely Space Mountain music). But before the shirts, before the other souvenirs... the music aisle is the first one visited.
