What would it take to make you stop going?

First time I went was around 1996/1997 when they had the 25th anniversary and the castle was painted pink. I am now 18 and pushing to go again! wdwannabe, I second you on that sleep... I'm too tired to even type proper english.

My trips to WDW usually cost between $6-9K(we go for at least 2 weeks) so price of park tickets is usually included in the total, and to be totally honest I don't think I have an upper price that would make me say no to a Disney trip.

I was late starter for WDW but would not stop going for all the tea in China! Even if they did dedicate a street in MGM (I know DHS but the old name is much better) to those lovable young Disney stars I'd still go as the Studios have so many other good things going on.

As I said
no money (and I mean none)
no flights
death
and total closure of all that is Disney

are the only things to stop me. Even when I die I want my ashes scattered somewhere in MK if they'll let me. Weddings have become big so why not a rememberance service for all those who want to stay forever.

My first visit was in 1982. We got there the day after EPCOT opened. We got stuck on SSE for a half hour and WOM for a bout 15 minutes. Grand Opening glitches I guess!

When I went with a group of friends a few years ago, we got stuck towards the end of Small World... I thought the rest of the group was going to pull thier hair and fingernails out by the time we started moving again, but I was loving it! I could go on that ride over and over! It was fun watching them suffer!

Things in Disney will change and we will all moan, but the new bits will grow on us or if they don't it'll give us something to talk about in here.

Sorry Disney is my happy place and some things have changed that I miss but survive without.
WDW never ever again... I don't think so!

Change that to DLR and that is my thought exactly!!

Ever since 07' I have virtually stopped going to WDW. I have been exclusive with going to DL. It was mainly due to the cost/time ratio. I found that I could go to DL for 8 days for the price of going to WDW for 5 days. I am planning on a trip down in June of this year. This is mainly due to a AV show going on in Orlando (Info Comm) so I will be splitting my time between the two. But I think the man reason I would stop going would be if I couldn't get good prices on flights. The cost in the parks really shouldn't be a factor, because I don't usually spend a ton in the Parks, granted tickets cost a lot but with DL I get an AP so that cuts the cost drastically. But for WDW this doesn't work as well, considering that an AP is double the price, yes you do get discounts on many things but I can't see the savings for one trip a year.

If Flight tickets were very expensive. We drove once when I was a teen and I wouldn't want to put my son through a long ride esp when he gets car sick.

I guess I am lucky when it comes to WDW. It taked 7-8 hours to drive down there, but it is still within driving distance. I *HATE* to fly, and if I never board another airplane in my life, I will not be disappointed, but that of course means I may never get to Disneyland in my lifetime. That *WOULD* be a shame.

On our last trip to WDW, we left home at 4.30pm, got a train to the airport (which took 3 hours), stayed overnight in a hotel as check in for our flight was 7.30am. We eventually got to MCO at 3pm (which would be 8pm UK time), so we had been travelling for 27 and a half hours. I would even double that if it meant getting to WDW.

So I think it would take something big to stop us going.

I think if cast members were no longer adding to the magic I might not go (or go much less frequently.) I mean if they all had bad amusement park attitudes. I know there are some who have those now, but not all, and not even the majority. If the scales tipped the other way I'd really have trouble staying in the magical mood.

We missed a year, and I actually had an anxiety attack. It will never happen again. I've never felt such a void in my life. When I'm having separation anxiety I play DVDs from WDW parks or vacation planning videos. I really look forward to the Travel Channel showing back-to-back features about WDW.

I can't grasp the thought of not going. Other family members have tried to distract us by inviting us to go to other places like Las Vegas! YUCK!!! They'll learn.

I think that is fairly close for me. I might boycott if some of the classics were to close like Pirates, Haunted mansion, Small world, and Country Bears, but mit might be a park boycott. If it just drew off the snotty cheerleader types, then Great. More HM and POC for me. If management begins to drive the parks toward a particular age demographic such as the Tweens for example. I would probably first sell my Stocks while I could still get 0.39 cents for them, and pull out of Disney all together.

I beleive that Disney's goal to appeal to the whole family is where they should stay.

Though I'd probably have a shrine to the parks as they were and get really weird, (instead of just weird.)

I think I'd quit going if Epcot went under. Much as I like the other 3 parks, Epcot is special to me and I can't imagine WDW without it. After all, it is one of Walt's original ideas and I find that park more essential to WDW than even MK because of that fact.

And whoever posted about CMs- don't worry, even when I feel like crap, I'm a happy CM! I really am. It's guests like the poster who mentioned the CMs that make me want to be happy at work.
