They apparently wouldn't be at WDW due to an agreement in the purchase of the brand. So... there is that.

There will be Marvel rides at the Disney parks someday...but not anytime soon due to what Wizzard said.
I do bet you will see them overseas first...then later in the States.

Only WDW is subject to that rule. DLR is able to have Marvel stuff in the parks already (and has via merch and characters)

Well, whenever it happens I really look forward to it. Islands of Adventures has good rides but they are just like good rides with Marvel names slapped on them. No magic

As much as they may not enjoy having to pay royalties for merch and crap to Disney, they probably do enjoy having them by the balls when it comes to being able to promote at their most popular property.

Disney definitely does really well with the theme and back story for attractions. Other parks try, and Universal has a good themed section with the Harry Potter rides, but Disney still is the best in my opinion.kelpseaweedkelp wrote:Well, whenever it happens I really look forward to it. Yeah, I really wish HP had ended up at Disney. The Universal park is....OK, but the dueling coasters ride was already there and I feel like the whole place is just opportunities for buying. And a little cheesy?....
The Spiderman ride is great though.

It does look like the Harry Potter areas are a bit shop-heavy. I did notice on one of the blog posts that they mentioned that they noticed very few people that were carrying around merchandise sacks though so they wondered if the merchandise was overpriced, too much of a duplicate from the first Harry Potter land, or just not what people want.kelpseaweedkelp wrote:Yeah, I really wish HP had ended up at Disney. Re: Anybody heard any rumors about Marvel rides?
The only rumor I have heard about Marvel in U.S parks is to have a marvel themed ride in DCA similar to Rock n Roller-coaster in the back corner of Hollywoodland. It would be a similar design to the proposed Marvel plan at Disneyland Paris.

Actually, two of the coasters were there (the kid's coaster was also re-dressed). I think, not counting the train, they only added one ride to make the land.kelpseaweedkelp wrote:Yeah, I really wish HP had ended up at Disney.
