Filming of Saving Mr. Banks

I was watching this delightful film (well part of it) this week while on the plane and it got me wondering. Did they film the movie in the actual Beverly Hills Hotel? Or did Disney build a replica set?

Anyone know, or know where I might find the answer?

Not sure how accurate IMDb is, but here is the link to the locations where Saving Mr. Banks was filmed ~ I don't see the Beverly Hills Hotel on there, although the generic Los Angeles CA might cover that, if you aren't too picky about the Beverly Hills Hotel being in Beverly Hills and not in LA :P

Oooo! Found it ~ and it has some nice photos along with each filming location! Here is the link: http://beyondthemarquee.com/27496/ And here is your answer, about 1/4 of the way down the page.
While in Los Angeles, P.L. Travers stayed at the Beverly Hills Hotel, however, the filmmakers did not choose to shoot there except for an establishing shot at the front entrance. Instead, the Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, CA was used as its substitute. More about that hotel can be found here: http://pasadena.langhamhotels.com

They also have updated the hotel, so probably unsuitable. That and the owner is a royal (literally) douchebag, so they probably dodged a bullet with that one.

I saw the photos that the hotel has online, and the entrance looks almost untouched by time, in both wear/weather as well as design. That's what got me to wondering.

It's too bad the owner is a jerkwad. It sure would have been nice if there could have been collaboration.

Oh... he probably would have collaborated but since the Sultan of Brunei has burned bridges, informed people won't touch his stuff.
