Anyone have a good dole whip recipe?
I'm looking for a dole whip recipe that does not use the powder mix you can get off amazon. I want to use real juice and ice cream. I've looked on the internet and can't seem to find one that doesn't use the powder mix. If you have one you've come up with please share!! Thanks!!

I found one on pintrist that might work for you:
2 cups frozen pineapple
1/4 cup milk of choice (Try canned coconut milk for piña colada soft serve!)
1/16 tsp salt
pinch pure stevia extract, or 2 tbsp sugar of choice
scant 1 tbsp lemon juice
If you try it, let me know!

Just saw this post, I need to get on here more, thanks for the link Amy! Haven't even tried to make any of the recipes I've collected so far, as it is too cold to want anything cold for dessert! This one seems the easiest of all the ones that I have seen!Amy wrote:Found this blogger post with a cool whip included recipe for Dole Whip ~ does this sound right?wxwiz wrote:Can't find it but I used a recipe with cool whip mixed in

Re: Anyone have a good dole whip recipe?
Ok! I FINALLY got around to trying the recipe with the cool whip that Amy was kind enough to post on here for me! I actually really liked it and will make it again. Now that being said, was it a true Dole Whip? Not really, it did taste a lot like one but it was not the real thing! Lol! It did however take the massive craving away that I've had for one of these for months now! It also made enough to be able to keep taking the craving away for a few days! Lol! It was easy to make and that's even with me not having an ice cream maker! I just took some directions from another recipe I had and put the blended mixture into 2 quart sized bags and layed them flat in the freezer for a few hours and then tried it! All I did today was set out the bag for a few minutes to let it thaw a bit to be able to scoop it out! Hope this helps and if you have questions, I'll be happy to help!

That's great that you were able to make it without an ice cream freezer. I wonder if it changes the consistency much to make it that way as compared to freezing it in the bags like you did? Glad it turned out well

I would think making it in an ice cream maker would be better! The consistancy would be more like the real thing! I might need to invest in a ice cream maker for future batches of it!!!Amy wrote:That's great that you were able to make it without an ice cream freezer. Re: Anyone have a good dole whip recipe?
Two random questions:
1. does anyone have a Dole Whip recipe I can use for my ice cream maker?
2. If I go on a Disney cruise, are there Dole Whips on the ships?
