You;d be smart to get that pin if you could as I suspect they'll correct it and the old one will be worth some serious $$

I doubt they will correct it. It was limited to 1000 in the first place.

I find it completely unbelieveable. If Disney has an editor whose job it is to proof these things, that person had to be fired.

I would have to agree there is no way they would let him stay in that position demote (how sad is that) if it were government they would send that person(s) to training on how to spell beter
FYI: this is my 991 post only 9 more till I am the first one ever to hit 1000 (besides Sub)

You'd be surprised how often professional copy for large companies is simply incorrect...I think next time I am in Disneyland I will see if ANY Disney sign has that most common of grammatical faux-pas... the unnecessary apostrophe placed in a plural word...
like "Corn Dog's" or "Souvenir's" or something...

Looks like the SNAFU caused the cancellation of the Pin Quest event.
Near the bottom:
http://www.dizpins.com/pinventory/dl_ma ... stones.htm
Update August 4, 2005: The Magical Milestones Pin Pursuit previously scheduled for Sunday, August 14, 2005 has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. The pins developed in conjunction with the pin pursuit will still be offered (excluding the Country Bear Jamboree/The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh) for $8.95, plus tax at Little Green Men Store Command only. The DLR apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks you for your continued support of Disney Pin Trading.
and
Note: Due to the spelling error on the pin, it will not be released.

I work for a printing company and you'd be amazed at some of the obvious typos that we see. Once a job went to press and nobody spotted the word "Yolks" misspelled as "Yokes" on a sign for an egg product. There were also some signs for the state that they put up at beaches when the water is contaminated. At the bottom, they say "adn" instead of "and" in fairly large type. We printed them last year and offered to correct the spelling for them but they didn't want to pay a little bit extra. We printed them again this year and the mistake is still there. It's pretty sad...
