I've seen a few commercials for it on tv now and it does really look good. I'm hoping it comes to the cheap theater :D

I'm anxious to see this movie as well. Whoever designed the promo posters with Disney/Travers and their shadows as Mickey Mouse/Mary Poppins did a fantastic job. What a great idea!

I saw this movie a couple of days ago and I got to say this is one of the best movies I have seen all year. Emma Thompson did a great job as well as Tom Hanks. I liked how the movie wasn't really "Disneyfied" and is really made for adult audiences. I also liked the real portrayal of Walt as well. I couldn't see Disney 6 years ago showing Walt drinking and smoking, it is shown briefly in the movie. I liked that the movie is able to keep a light tone while going through emotional moments of the film. After watching this, you will want to go out and buy Mary Poppins on Blu-Ray, which coincidentally is available now. I bought the movie before I saw the movie and I redeemed a free admission to go see Saving Mr. Banks. Overall, this a must watch film for any Disney fan and any avid movie watcher.

DW and I are thinking about catching this before we head to WDW in a few weeks...because I have a feeling watching it after we get back will just be depressing seeing the DLR parts.

DLR is a small part of the film. They only walk on Main Street and ride the Carousel. Doubtful it'll be that depressing... but you should definitely go see it either way. I think you guys will really enjoy it.

Saw the movie, it was amazing. My kids had a bet as to when I would start to cry.... the opening credits I had tears, ..."winds from the East, mist coming in..." what a great story beginning! And seeing my Walt Disney come to life, was incredible! PL Travers was a b----! Amazing that Mr. Disney put up with her behavior and followed through with the film! Emma Thompson should get many awards, she did a wonderful job!

Ok... After we saw Saving Mr. Banks at the theater, we realized we hadn't seen Mary Poppins in awhile. So, I ordered the 50th anniversary edition (because we didn't have it! Can you believe that?), and the bonus features include a conversation between Richard Sherman and Jason Schwartzman. I think you'll all like it. Also, there's a feature about the making of Mary Poppins that's pretty awesome. I highly recommend watching these if you can.

I saw it yesterday, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was doing so well at not tearing up and then Tom Hanks went and gave that stirring speech in London...cue tissues.

Also, enjoyed giggling at the scene of Josh Lyman (aka Bradley Whitford from his West Wing days) singing "Let's Go Fly a Kite" :)

I just finished watching Saving Mr. Banks and I liked it very much. I especially liked the credits and the ending music.
I've heard that some details of Walt and P.L. Travers interactions were changed, but I love how much actual history had been preserved and shared at the end :D
