Pirates is the best, the score works very well and it is very well acted (Jeffery Rush was really creepy in that movie thumbs up to him)

I agree that Pirates is a great movie. We have the DVD. I've watched it many times. Hope the sequels will be good too. National Treasure was also very entertaining. However, I guess Mary Poppins is still the all time classic Disney live action (well... mostly) film.

its more of a musical, if you could include musicals then it would be mary poppins

Another Title I enjoy

I really like the original Freaky Friday from 1977 with Jodie Foster. It is so 70's I love it. Did anyone notice that Boris from the original film (Mark McClure, who also played Marty McFly's brother in the original Back to the Future), has a cameo in the recent Freaky Friday with Lindsay Lohan. He plays a Fed Ex guy who shows up at Jamie Lee Curtis' office.

POTC has risen to one of my favorite movies. Everything about it was not just good, but excellent.

Two old movies that are really great are Summer Magic and Pollyanna. Two old movies staring Hailey Mills. Both fantastic family films, considered boring in today's standards.

I like the OLD Herbie The Love Bug Movies, The Ugly Dachshund (I like Dean Jones), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Swiss Family Robinson, Darby O'Gill and The Little People, Treasure Island, Davy Crocket, Pollyanna, The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh, Johnny Tremain, Old Yeller, Mary Poppins, etc......its hard to chose really so my list would be too long, I can't pick just one  All the earliest Disney ones get higher marks for me than the newer ones. I think mainly because they are from my childhood, a happy simplier time of life when everything fell on mom and dads shoulders, and not mine  ha ha ha
I didn't need and don't need huge special effects to entertain me, though they are nice :D
I am sure y'all know about this link, but just the same.....
Want a trip down memory lane, it's pretty neat..

Recent, has to be Pirates... but for classics, I'll take Swiss Family Robinson, any day! I know how my girlfriend would vote... she's a Mary Poppins NUT!

I like PotC, and also The Parent Trap was too bad, either (the new Lindsay Lohan version or classic Haley Mills).

Also, I'm kinda partial to the VPVs...

Ah yes, Swiss Family Robinson! What a great movie. The tree house, the pirates, the animals, the family characters... classic.

Did you buy the special edition 2 disk dvd? It had such great extras about the movie, the actors etc.
