I have looked forward each quarter the the arrival of my new issue of Disney Magazine. Are others going to miss it as much as I am?

I never got this magazine. I'm guessing they are discontinuing it?

My husband and I are really upset by the cancellation of the magazine. We just called to get a refund. It's just me & him, so we have no use for the other two mags they offered.

Over the cover of my Summer 2005 issue is a notice that they have "decided to cease publication of Disney Magazine with this issue". It included a reply card with which you can replace the remaining issues in your subscription with issues of either Disney Adventures, or Family Fun.

I never read it until I got a free subscription with my DL AP... now I'm gonna miss it, though, for sure...

I'm going to miss it a ton! It gave me a chance to "be at Disney" while we were waiting for our next chance to visit the World. It seems to me that Disney is making some bad marketing choices . . . time will tell.

I also requested a refund as the other 2 magazines didn't apply as my kids are in their teens. I'm getting a whopping $8.35 back for 2.5 years left on the subscription.

I got the Disney Magazine for free as well being a Premium AP.

Personally, I felt the whole thing was an ad for the parks. I didn't find it had interesting stories but more of, "Hey, this is new, come spend money on it"

I guess that's what people want to know though. What's new in the parks. Maybe it's the way they present it.

I have been receiving DM for about 5 years now, and I was VERY disappointed to see it go... I don't seem to believe that whole line about "we will return soon", though I wish it was true. I love to read the articles that take you behind the scenes; I am a real fanatic for info like that. I only wish they gave a flat-out explanation as to why they decided to cancel...

Yeah - everyone I know that read it is seriously bummed [well ticked off is more like it]. It was always a good read - the only thing I never could figure is why charge for one jumbo ad :D And what was up with the "alternates" you got unless you read the fine lines on the refund? A bunch of kid themed magazines - I really doubt kids did a lot of deep reading in the Disney mag... Still - it is another dumb move by management, proving once again they have the dollar as their boss, not the customers...

Don't you wish managment would read these boards . . . maybe then they'd get the idea of what is really wanted by the consumers . . . not their bottom line!

HRUMPH! "On the cheap"

Sigh, Disney has been cutting corners for many years now. Finally, it's starting to show by SOO many complaints. At least in the parks. But yes, management is lame.

I was just look'n around and came across this subject. I also had the Disney Magazine subsciption. I too asked for a refund. I was very upset when they discontinuned it. I looked forward to reading them at the gym, while on the Eliptical Fitness Cross Trainer. But very please to watch the price of my collection go up. At one time the last issue was up to $18. Who ever paid that much was dumb!!!! There were still plenty of the last issue at the book store, at regular price.

I was disappointed also. They were goping to answer my trivia question in the *next* issue -- the one that never got printed. :-(
