Two things:

1) You beat me to it cy1229.
2) Pray that Lucasfilm won't die because of this.

That's awesome

Does that mean Han Solo is a Disney Prince, or Chewbacca a best man?
Where does R2-D2 come in? Maybe as Wall-e's brother? :?

do adopted children count as disney princesses? (she does not know she is the daughter of an elected queen and a senator of the republic, after all.) :)

Meh. I'm no Star Wars fan and I have only gone on the new Star Tours a few times but it's something I tend to avoid. I'm just not a fan of the series so I would be avoiding it if they add more of it to the parks.

Actually, I wonder what this will entail for the parks. Star Wars - could be it become a larger presence at DHS? Maybe its own park? And wasn't Indiana Jones part of the Lucasfilms as well (co-produced with Speilberg)?

I was thinking the same thing, mindflipper. Indiana Jones is LucasFilms, so what a great fit!

I wonder if they will try to get Joss Whedon to write Star Wars Ep 7.

Do you have something against adopted kids? :D It doesn't matter so much that she knows she's a princess, what matters is that WE know she's a princess.
Still... You do have a point. Maybe she'll find out in Episode VII ! I just hope Disney doesn't ruin Star Wars for all of us. Just imagine... you're in the theater, the lights dim, you hear the triumphant Lucas Film/Fox music playing, but Disney's castle thing is there instead.

Doesn't sound quite right to me. We'll see.

This is what one of my DSs wrote on FB when he read the news. Mind you he is a HUGE SW fan.

I sense a great disturbance in the force,as if a thousand voices cried out in agony and where silenced.

If Princess Leia does become an official Disney Princess, the IQ of the whole lot just doubled.

Just sayin'.
