Toy Story Poster Drop Thursday

Post by Wizzard419 » May Wed 09, 2012 9:39 pm

Mondo is doing another one of these Thursday ones while I am in a meeting so I can't be near a machine to order one.

What time do they normally drop? My 6yo would LOVE this one.

Random time in the morning (usually) I've not seen any in the afternoon but I can't say it never happens as they also do some evening drops. You will want to register now and be logged in with plastic ready (or entered in the account) as the posters sell out in roughly 2 mins.

Awww, this poster is very cute. Not sure I want to spend $50 on a poster though.....

Well, it's not exactly a "poster" in the sense that it's mass produced on cheap paper (like you would buy as a kid). It's hand done and uses an archival process which (as much as I hate the term) makes it an investment considering that they frequently go to 2-3x in value (4-5x if a set) right after they sell out and people pay dearly.

Understood. Is it more like a lithograph in terms of quality? Out of my price range at the moment either way. But I do like it. Did anyone purchase one today?

Higher than that, similar in terms of process. They use silk screen which can allow for better effects. Usually lithographs also have larger production runs.
