DS somehow knows how to make a duck sound like Donald Duck...and has been doing it for weeks now. Anytime he sees Donald, he starts talking like him. It is adorable...and I will try to get it on video so I can post here.

We were all at the beach last week and Destin has an outlet mall with a Disney Store outlet. So of course we went to it as we do not have a Disney Store in Birmingham, AL. We saw that the 18 inch plush characters were on sale so we bought DS a new and bigger Mickey, Donald, and Goofy. Right now the only one he has seen is Donald and of course he talks to him in the Donald voice. We plan on giving him the Mickey and Goofy sometime later. He is so cute with the Donald though. I am out of town for work and am using Google video chat to talk to DW and DS each night. Last night I asked DS where his duck puzzle piece was...so he could show it to me. He ran off out of the view of the camera and came back with his Donald plush. It almost made me cry how sweet it was.

Awww, sounds like Mickey is going to have to share your son's attention with Donald when you finally get to the parks.

Here is DS at 17 months old today! He's started Mom's Day Out...which is going just fair so far...and is 100% boy now...no more baby.

With only one more month until he is 18 months old...we know we need to enjoy it even more while we can.

And yes...I'm still hoping we can get to WDW in early 2015 before DS turns 3 years old. :)

Awww, it's hard to believe he is almost a year and a half already! They grow so quickly don't they? I bet he loves going to play with other little ones his age. One of my piano families youngest is two and just started preschool and she was telling me who her new friends were this week.
Fingers crossed that you can make a trip to WDW happen in the next year or so! :mickey:

Another month...another picture. DS is now 18 months old...which means he will be 18 years old before we know it.

I wonder how long he'll let you take pictures of him for this... another few years maybe? :( It'd be kind of funny if he was 16 and this was still going on. I did think I would like to take pictures of my kids (when I have them) maybe every month or something so I could make a video of them growing up. You could probably do this now with all the pictures you've taken :D

BIG did make a very nice little video ~ here is the link from a previous post :D
theBIGyowski wrote:Here's the video slideshow I made. I had an absolute blast making it and it was fun for me to watch him grow up all over again. You really get a sense of his personality in this video...more so than in just the weekly pictures where he's always smiling. :)

I hope you all enjoy it. I'll try to get some birthday and birthday party pictures uploaded ASAP.

DW and I talked yesterday how different it is taking his picture now. He sits better than he used to...but doesn't give us the big sweet smiles like he did a year ago. I guess we just aren't as awesome and new as we once were.

Here are his pictures from yesterday and a year ago.

we changed lamps...and the picture from a year ago may have been done at night...whereas the one from yesterday was before DS went to Mommy's Day Out
