The Avengers!
Is there really no topic yet for The Avengers?!?!?!?
We went to the midnight showing last night...and Holy Crap on a Stick!!!!
I'm not a huge fan of the comic book movies, but I do like the Iron Man movies and we both loved The Avengers!!!! We saw it in 3D and we thought it was well done. Not too "in your face" though there were a few spots that made me jump a little.
The coolest part was when we left the theater. As we (and hundreds of our closest friends ) were pouring out of the doors of the theater and into the parking lot, a HUGE bolt of lightning was spotted in the sky. You could hear the oohs and ahhs (with a few cheers thrown in)...I think everyone had the same thought on their minds...must be Thor!!!!!
A word of advice for anyone planning on seeing the movie. Be sure to stay through ALL of the credits (and there's a ton!)...

Ironically enough, my coworker and I just said how we have zero interest in this movie and won't be wasting our time or money to see it... I'm glad you guys enjoyed it though!

I'm going to see it in an hour! I haven't been this excited for a movie since Star Trek in 2009.

Re: The Avengers!
I usually am not excited about comic book character movies. I go because Cbog40 wants to see them. But I really enjoyed the Iron Man movies...and this one was right up there (if not a nudge past). i was surprised at the amount of comedy added in...I expected some, but there were a couple of parts where I truly laughed. (one in particular...but I won't give it away) I wouldn't call it a comedy by any means, but for such an action packed movie, there was also a good amount of comedy.
Ms. Swann...make sure to stay through ALL of the credits! ENJOY!!!!

*in my best Roz voice* He's watching you... always watching...
I haven't seen any of the super hero movies (go ahead and chastise Wiz). But this one really looks good and it has received pretty good reviews so far from people that I trust. So, I think I will try it.

Unless you have stated you are a current Disney worker, there is no file to add to.

I did and it was a funny scene. That's all I will say but it was a real good movie either way! The cast all had amazing chemistry and they had many great scenes together. It's one I would see over and over again for sure.MmeLeota wrote:Ms. Swann...make sure to stay through ALL of the credits! ENJOY!!!!

You know you're fueling Jacca's beliefs that you are in corporate thereWizzard419 wrote:Unless you have stated you are a current Disney worker, there is no file to add to.

Re: The Avengers!
especially the intentional mis-wording of the term 'cast member' as 'Disney worker'. sounds like someone who is working really hard to sound like they don't work there... LOL

Nah, I just hate the BS marketing terms people use for their HR depts (actually I just hate HR in general), plus I think only CM is used for park workers.

Re: The Avengers!
I believe the term "Cast Member" applies to all who work within the Disney Company. Can anyone clear this up?

Re: The Avengers!
I'm almost positive it only applies to workers in the park/resort division. I know for sure DMG doesn't call themselves that.

Re: The Avengers!
I've heard its only park/resort workers, not corporate. I don't think they would want to be confused with the "little people so far beneath them on the bottom rung of the corporate ladder"...Wizzard419 wrote:I'm almost positive it only applies to workers in the park/resort division.
