So I love to read. I recently started reading "Walt Disney the Triumph of the American Imagination" by Neal Gabler. I thought it would be fun to ask what are some of your favorite books about Walt, the parks, or anything else Disney?

I am almost done with
WALT DISNEY: AN AMERICAN ORIGINAL by Bob Thomas. I have about 15-20 pages left so I should be able to finish it tonight. It's a fantastic biography that I think does a good job of telling the story of Walt and his family.
I also have
WALT DISNEY IMAGINEERING: A BEHIND-THE-DREAMS LOOK AT MAKING THE MAGIC REAL and it is fun to look through every now and then. It's probably more of a coffee table book though due to its large size. I want to say I picked it up in DLR.

Walt Disney Imagineering: A Behind The Dreams Look At Making The Magic Real is an AMAZING book. I have read it a ridiculous number of times, just to get my fix of Disney. It's a quick, fun read, and is fun if you're a huge Disney fan. I adore it.

Has anyone of you read this book? Is it worth to buy it?
The Magic Kingdom: Walt Disney and the American Way of Life
I also own that Imagineering book and it is really great.

John Hench:
Designing Disney Imagineering and the Art of the Show.
I love this book!! It's filled with original concept art and the stories behind how things developed.

I recently saw a quote from John Hench about his thoughts on the DCA park and he said he liked it better when it was a parking lot.
I think I would love his book.

I have a HUGE coffee table book called 'Walt Disney's EPCOT' that was released not long after it was opened ... and I do love the two 'Mouse Tales' books by Koenig that gives some of the not so magical times at the Mouse.
But my favorite BY FAR is 'Project Future: The Inside Story Behind The Creation of Walt Disney World' . It is all about the covert dealings, back room deals and secret flights that made WDW possible. It is a fascinating story of how they kept this giant park a secret for so long until they had all the land and planning that they needed. I HIGHLY recommend it.
