Okay now Disney 3-D is getting ridiculous

Movies, TV, music, and more. Here's the place to talk about anything Disney outside of the parks.

Anyone who has seen B&B think it is worth seeing in 3D?
I saw B & B 3D in the theater, for $9.75. I thought John Lasseter and his team did a spectacular job with the 3D effects. The scenes involving the multiplane camera had me in awe, the effect would make Walt happy. I saw some animation that I thought was grafted into the original film to enhance the 3D effect, I found this to be very tastefully done with care. I am disappointed that "Walt Disney Pictures" is being reduced to "Disney." After the well done "Wish Upon a Star" intro I was elated to see and hear Mickey Mouse whistling with "Walt Disney Animation Studios" printed underneath. I say good job Disney on this one, well worth my hard earned $9.75.

I've always been anti 3-D for as long as I can remember. I'm sure the effects may look nicer to some but they shouldn't bother with 3-D. Just bring them back in regular 2-D so we can all enjoy the movies the way we know.

But if you bring it back in 2-D... why would I pay to go see it in a theater?

Because not many people have a mega huge wide screen to enjoy their favorites movies on in their home???

Ditto. And for me, to relive some memories from when I was growing up. And it's cheaper!!!

3D movies longer than about the 15 minute rate in the parks make me sick to my stomach because of my vision issues.

Oh my! That could be a problem  Guessing you sort of gently steer dates away from 3D movies if they make the suggestion huh?! ;)

Then, clearly, you need a bigger tv and sound system. :D

The nice benefit of home theater setups is you can have liquor and pause the movie whenever you want.

Agreed, I only watch 3D movies in Theaters now. I love watching blurays at home where inexpensive snacks, plentiful drinks, and unlimited bathroom breaks add to the movie watching pleasure.

I also hate movie theater popcorn (esp. compared to what I use at home) since it's got too many hulls and too much salt.

I am not totally on the 3-D bandwagon quite yet (haven't had a change to go see Beauty yet, I hope i can before it leaves theaters), but I have to admit that when I saw Up in 3-D it was AMAZING..
There are some movies that will really pop in 3-D. think Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc. will really look good, and I look forward to seeing them.

I just hate the older type of 3-D glasses they used to have that were dark, it really did take a lot away from Up, it muted all those bright colors. A shame.
